Here’s A Trailer For Survival Horror Game ‘Vaccine’ For Nintendo Switch

Coming out tomorrow in the US and in Europe, Vaccine for Nintendo Switch looks a lot like a popular game that came out quite some time ago that included zombies, doors that opened painstakingly slowly and a scene that made me (more) scared to walk in front of windows at night. The difference here is that you’ve got a 30-minute time limit, in a randomly generated level, to cure an infected friend. Vaccine originally came out on the Wii U eShop and is now being ported over to the Nintendo Switch. The title will launch simultaneously on the US and European eShop and will set you back €9.99 / £8.99.

Here’s the trailer:

Here’s an overview for Vaccine:

30 min time limit and random layouts! Classic survival horror re-invented!

Find a vaccine for your infected friend before the time runs out, but be aware your friend will relapse sooner or later and you will have to find a new vaccine in a new randomly rebuilt house. Will you be able to uncover the mystery to save your friend once and for all!?

Vaccine is a new approach on Survival Horrors inspired by those of the 90s. You can choose between the two members of a special bio-hazard rapid response team, each starting with their own unique differential abilities. They are trapped in a strange house populated by dangerous mutated creatures, they will have to find a vaccine for another team member who is infected with a deadly virus.

Unless you uncover the mystery of the house, every time you bring back the vaccine, the infected team member will relapse and you will be presented with a new randomly rebuilt house. You will be able to gain experience points from different actions and use them on the skills you think will be more beneficial, bringing a more tactical approach compared to the games it takes inspiration from.

    ||Interesting, looks very similar to the life of my human puppet…||

Looks like an interesting indie spiritual successor to the original Resident Evil. Right down to the blocky graphics. I might download this

  3. That narrator sounds almost similarly to the G-Man from Half Life!
Also love the homage to the oringal resident evil games with it’s gameplay and aesthetics!

I’m honest interested and when I do get a switch, I’ll check it!

  4. This looks interesting, but I’m not sure where the horror part comes in going by the trailer. I know it’s inspired by the original Resident Evil (never played it, unfortunately) so can anyone fill me in on what exactly made it such an iconic horror experience?
