Legend of Zelda-Inspired Ittle Dew 2 Announced for Nintendo Switch

Ludosity Interactive and Nicalis have announced Ittle Dew 2 is headed to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Originally released last November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam, Ittle Dew 2 is a top-down Legend of Zelda-inspired 3D action adventure game which will be a welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch library.

When Ittle and her flying-fox friend Tippsie crash onto an island, they must try to survive by stealing eight pieces of a raft from various locations. While they will have access to a magical map that will guide their way, Ittle Dew 2 encourages players to tackle the first seven dungeons in any order. To solve the puzzles that await in these dungeons, four weapons must be found that will also serve as the tools needed to solve any challenge. In addition, finding copies of any of the four weapons will upgrade and improve them.

With this retail release, Nicalis furthers its support of the Nintendo Switch, given that Cave Story+ and The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ are already available on the console. More titles are on the way too, including The End is Nigh and Blade Strangers. The colorful and humorous Ittle Dew 2 will launch on the Nintendo Switch on November 30, 2017 for $29.99. Pre-orders are now available, and if you are still on the fence you can see Ittle Dew 2 in action by watching this gameplay trailer.

The problem is he’s seeing the Switch is turning into a Nintendo/Steam machine because of all the indie games hitting Switch instead of big triple A titles from guys like Capcom, Ubisoft, EA, etc.

*pats him on his head* I know, man. I know. It’s painful for me to watch, too. The Switch is slowly turning into a Nintendo Steam machine. :/

        ||That’s not what I was refering to actually, I was refering to the obvious 67th clone of a character and so called weapon that barely tries to hide from the fact that it looks like Link or Zelda in general, unoriginal vermin…||

Oh yeah. lol Least that Oceanhorn game looks fun, though. This looks like it’s gonna be boring.

      2. You never played Ittle Dew or heard of it before?
The first game was releaesd on WiiU and it’s an hilarious fun
        game mind you.

Can’t believe y’all acting like this towards a game.

I mean, isn’t more games that are actually “good” a good thing?
Just because indie titles are coming to the switch DOES NOT MEAN
that other games by Major Companies aren’t.

These games don’t stop any major company from coming on it.
It’s completely separate and non of this effects the attraction
        of such games.

It’s the company choices and relationship/interest with Nintendo and the switch
that in turn decides if any interesting new games will come on it.

      3. Oh and here’s a video of the first Ittle Dew since some of you don’t know what
the game looks or plays like:

Unlike typical LoZ, this game is more puzzle orientated sprinkled with humor and
        light combat elements.

If this was an shameless LoZ clone and I mean a full-on ripoff/cruddy clone then
I would agree with y’all (somewhat)…but not this game, Ittle Dew is no mere clone or infact a clone
as it only shares some elements of the zelda series.

The story is different, the characters are different, the animation style is different,
the gameplay shares but does not ripoff zelda.

I personally am looking forward to Ittle Dew 2 for the Switch, I enjoyed
what the sequel has to offer as it’s more expanded compared to the first
with more action elements but still retaining the humor. (If I recall, you can
complete the game without getting every item…I think).

Still…I hope some of you guys give this game a chance or moreso, not judge
a game by it’s cover without knowing what it is or about.

I don’t do a majority of indie games. I want the big name 3rd party games, and I got my PS4 for that. So games I can only get on the Switch are very few & far between for me.

This is some mighty impressive 3rd party support. /s

      1. Dude! I KNOW it’s got those turbo ultra 76bit graphics with the fairy’s and the potions! I even have an uncle who works at Nintendo (Quadraxiz base alpha one) who said it’s going to have a MALE PRINCE PROTAGONIST! (Ima shit myself if I find out I’m right there…). Also, it features random inconvenient auto saves!

        :D

As I told her (him?), I don’t do many indie games.

  1. I liked the first one so I’ll be buying this. I would prefer to buy it digital just because I have so much cartridges already but I’m a sucker for box art unfortunately lol

Yep. Looks like most of that 80+ 3rd party games for Switch is just gonna mostly be indie titles. The Switch is sadly looking more & more like a more successful Wii U in portable form & with Wii stuff instead of a second screen experience right now. Good thing I got my PS4 for other stuff, though, so whatever as I won’t get dragged down that hole with Nintendo if they go belly up inside of it.

That’s my thoughts on the Oddworld article to be honest.

      1. That’s what I said about it. Both sides of the argument was throwing shit at one another and also trying to use the article has console war fuel. It’s video games for crying out loud.

      1. Jack Parow is a South African rap/hip-hop/ trance artist who I support and promote. He’s part of the Zef culture that’s up and coming there. Zef, as slang for Afrikaans, means looking good even when your piss poor. The word can also be used for something common or uncool.
