Bloodstained Ritual of the Night is one game that I know many of you are looking forward to. However, judging from the developer’s words it sounds like it is someway off for the Nintendo Switch. Koji Igarashi says that the team have started porting the 2D action title to the PlayStation Vita, but they are currently looking at the specifications for the Nintendo Switch before they begin the long process of porting to that particular platform.
Can Nintendo Switch owners expect a similar level of background detail as the platform shown off in the trailers?
“Currently, we’re not in the middle of porting to Nintendo Switch just yet, but we are starting porting to PS Vita. In comparison to that porting process, we feel confident that the environments will look pretty similar, but we can’t say for sure until we really look into the Nintendo Switch specs and see what it’s like building a game for it.”
NOTICE HOW THE DEV HAD TO PUT VITA INTO THE SENTANCE
everyone who hates nintendo does this as if switch is somehow just a vita it isnt but thats what they want you to think,idiots
he actually tried there to implant a seed in are minds switch is a vita or a vita turbo when its infact vastly more powerful than wii graphics vita
go watch cod wii and cod vita videos but these clowns still compare vita to wiiu and now switch WTF
wat?
You’ve been off your meds too long. Paranoia is setting in. Seek help quick!
If you really thinks all devs are like this,you need to go check yourself in somewhere.
When I read they try to bring the game on Vita I totally lost my mind. There is still people developing games on the Vita?
||Time for aggressive negotiations then…||
}{ None of this is necessary… All games could be happily powered under one all-encompassing system… Embrace the future… }{
Please don’t tell me the PS Vita is more powerful than the Switch because isn’t not.
}{ I care not of such trivialities… Neither are of consequence, so what does it matter? }{
By your side nothing. For me it’s absurd to see people who develop games on Vita.
It’s not the best selling system but it still sells. So people will make games for it. Simple as that. It’s no different from Nintendo still supporting the 3DS.
Maybe what I’m writing now is wrong.
Nintendo is still supporting 3DS because they still want to make games on the system.
I don’t hear many games be published or be developing for the Vita. Man even when I’m going to Gamestop I never heard anymore about the Vita. I think the employee also removed the Vita but maybe not.
Wharether if I see games coming out on the system, ok there is a point on that. But if I don’t see anyone developing the game on the system then why in the word I have to publish the game on a system where nobody is making games on it?
Is gonna be canceled switch is just a portable wii u and 5% more power. no1 cares to port or develop on this console. Only the casual developers. The real one dont give a damn.
||As long as the Xbot disease is gone from Japan we couldn’t care less…||
We got Xbots on Switch. Directly through Minecraft :P Your opinion on this matter, Commander?
||You already know the answer to your question…||

Running is not an option, Commander.
||I think you’re watching it wrong, I’m the only one that can turn into a black smoke…||
May you purge the Xbots from my Switch, Oh Thy Holy Nintendo First Order Commander Quadraxis!
Like you represent the opinions of all gamers and devs lmao
stupid mug. i represent the big opinions and the hardcore gamers and the big devs. The rest are just small casuals i dont care to represent weaklings like you thinking Switch will get all third party support as soon as developers will see some good sells from the system. Lmao.
You use the term hardcore gamer? Wow you are a child.
I use the hardcore gamer tag because in my case.. Oh it’s true..! It’s damn true! I spend a good majority of my time gaming if I’m not on the internet, watching television shows, watching movies, & the important stuff the body needs like sleeping and eating. If that’s not hardcore, I don’t know what is.
i use the term hardcore gamer on a casual gamer. ofc your response is very predictable

Ok I understand developers always say Nintendo Switch isn’t powerful enough. But still people are trying to port games on the PS Vita?
I read so many posts about the PS Vita is dead and what I found on internet:
Bloodstained for the Switch hasn’t a release date.
Ok let’s just be honest. The developers wants to see if the Switch can do much more.
But for me it’s absurd to work on the PS Vita.
Of what I understand, Vita have a really strong buy-ratio on it, and sells well in Japan.
In Japan. But not in the rest of the world.
The buy-ratio?
I don’t see in the rest of the world people saying. Hey look I have a Vita, I play games on the Vita. Even where I live I don’t see anybody buy or bought a Vita.
In the case of Japan ok the Vita is still selling because in Japan people love the handled consoles.
That’s why the 3DS still sold well and now with the Switch, Nintendo is going much more well.
Okey, I’ve read a few places Vita-owners tend to buy a lot of games, so even with the low number of console, developers got a alright sales numbers on games. And that was both in US and Europe as I understood it.
But if the sells of a console is very poor, it’s ok people is buying games on the console but the userbase is low.
7 mill Vitas I do belive sold world-wide. I bought a couples of games the last years to it, and those are cheaply made. They didn’t have to have 1 mill in sales for earning profit I’m sure. I do not know if there are games that pass 1m i sales nowadays, but again: the game-ratio on Vita is high, and if 1 of ever 7th Vita owner bought a specific title; it would turn 1m.
Good luck. If you can’t bring it to Switch, get ready for the toxicity levels of Nintendo fanboys to rise.
Cover your comment sections!!!
Doesn’t surprise me that they’re developing a Vital version. They have a very loyal fan base and all they have to factor in is the cost of porting it.
With today’s game engines, studios can port a game over with lower cost and still make a profit. That’s why I figure it’ll come to the Switch.
Btw, what’s with ‘||’ and ‘}{‘ in the comments?
Dang auto spellcheck. ‘Vita’ not ‘vital’.
