NBA Playgrounds’ latest update is finally adding online play to the Nintendo Switch version. Announced on the Nintendo Switch news tab on the console itself, the update contains not only online play, but an adjusted shooting system and 15 new players, including Isaiah Thomas and Dennis Rodman. As of right now, this update is only available in Europe, but other countries shouldn’t be too far behind. Are you excited for online play and for these new additions? Let us know in the comment section below.
Check out the full notes in detail:
“Many thanks for the continued support! We have the best players in the world and we are privileged to serve you. Update 1.1.3 for the Nintendo Switch brings the heat! Online is here at last. Play online, compete in ranked matches for top spots in the leaderboard and challenge your friends, enemies and other players. Game on! With the new Challenge feature, you’ll be able to directly challenge another player to a game on the Playgrounds. All you have to do is agree on a code, open the online mode, switch to Challenges, enter that code and face each other.
“In response to great feedback, we’ve also tweaked the entire shooting system from jump shots, to threes, to dunks, layups, and everything in-between. We’ve redone the timing, added a meter, and clarified the entire system. Keep those comments coming! As a big thank you to our rabid fans, we’ve also added 15 new players, including Isaiah Thomas and Dennis Rodman! These two all-stars and 13 others can be unlocked regularly through player packs, earned during the tournament or when leveling up your profile.”
Sweet, I’ll try this out tonight
Sweet! I’m in America, but I really love the heck out of this game. It is perfect for short bursts of playing and the update seems rather fetching.
I was waiting for this update to play. I guess they couldn’t improve the resolution like they said but oh well
This took way longer that it should have.
Its because the patch for the game was too big according to nintendo, which i thought was kinda dumb, they said the patch has been ready for weeks but nintendo didnt let the “large” file size through so yeah it was nintendos fault
Now if only I could actually play this game. The timing for shots in Playgrounds is like rocket science to me.
Well they did say they tweaked the timing on it so yea maybe now u can lol
9.6GB space requirements :O
Yes i am going to stream this today, and street fighter!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JA-2TksjN_4

This news isn’t helping me out. Hell! I live in Michigan! When’s the stupid update coming to America?!!!
