      1. You bring up a good point. I’ll rephrase. It’s fun when a theory presented by MatPat isn’t blatantly disproven, and his points are strong enough so that one could confidently say it is potentially correct.

        1. He does have some good theory but the the Mario ones are just flat out wrong it’s like he doesn’t look into interviews or anything mario being physco so we just going to ignore that everyone in the mario series always is not a physio either since in Mario party majority of the time you just ending Mario enemy even he enemies take out there own members as seen in recent mario party spike boo shyguy koopatroppa and magikoopa have been playable and they take out there own teams but everyone is so caught up with most of his theories like I get it’s a theory but can you at least go deep into e info federation channel imo is better at making theory since when they make they go by the points mat pat will point out but at the end they give out other reasons that either debunks the theory or proves the theory someing mat pat doesn’t no do if he did that I probably actually like to watch his vids

  1. I’m so happy Splatoon is getting this much attention! I bought the first game on a whim three days after its release and ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would (I didn’t even like shooters before Splatoon tbh). I’m a huge anime fan so I’ll definitely be watching this from start to finish! (heck, I already read an online fan translation of the manga anyway, haha)

    1. Im about the one person in school who doesn’t like anime (like seriously, its kinda weird. All my friends aren’t gamers and aren’t into much japan things, and I am known for being a person who loves Japanese games and music. So they were super shocked when they watched anime and I didn’t) but I am really happy with all the Splatoon attention as well. Nintendo has definitely hit gold with this new franchise. Its got everything a legendary nintendo franchise has going for it, a great soundtrack, great design, polished, etc. I bought the original a day after its release and loved it (i also wasn’t into shooters… though recently, I have been playing more shooters like halo, cod, and battlefield.) There is something about splatoon that I just love and I hope Nintendo never loses sight of whatever that is…

      1. Can’t blame you. From a western perspective, most anime is really weird. I first started watching it about 8 or 9 years ago, and in that time I think I’ve only stuck through 5 or 6 series. Of those, I’d say only 3 were really good shows, and of those 3 I’d probably only recommend 2 to someone who’s never watched anime before.

      2. I agree! There’s a certain something Splatoon had that really won me over, as I had no expectations going into it. I think what really sells Splatoon is its unique mechanics and atmosphere, as well as the sheer amount of creativity from the devs (who would’ve thought that sea animals and paint guns would work so well together?). It brought a completely new play style to the world of shooters and managed to introduce likable characters and an interesting world. It also had the guts to be bright, colorful, and fun; which contrasts the dark and grittier atmospheres some other shooters try to pursue (not to say there’s anything wrong with that, they’re just different). I actually volunteer at my local library and we hold an event called the “Game-A-Thon”, where we set up a bunch of consoles and invite kids to come and play. I’m in charge of one coming up next week, so I’m going to set up my Switch and make sure we have Splatoon 2 on display!

Also, the anime thing isn’t that big of a deal. You like what you like and there’s nothing wrong with that. I am curious though, do you think you’ll try watching the Splatoon anime anyway?

        1. Oh hell yes! I wouldn’t miss that anime for anything! Splatoon is one of my favorite gaming worlds to visit… and I can’t wait for that world to be expanded! The game has so much personality to it it feels like it has so much lore and story even though its an onlne multiplayer game with a little bit of a single player campaign. Also, that game-a-thon thing sounds lit af.

          1. Awesome! I’m also excited to see the Splatoon world expanded! I’m particularly hyped to see the inklings with actual voices in the anime, as they just make those squid sounds in-game (woomy!)

Also, the Game-A-Thon event is pretty lit. Last time we brought in Super Mario 3D World, Nintendo Land, Mario Bros. Wii, Super Smash Bros., Sonic Generations, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Kirby Air Ride. The kids had a BLAST!!! :D

Meh… Let me know when it’s an anime for Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Star Fox, or Fire Emblem…
