Best Buy & Target Are Getting A Restock In Switch Consoles This Friday

If you have been looking into buying a Nintendo Switch, you will have another opportunity very soon. This is because Best Buy and Target have advertised the console in their weekly ads, an indicator that both will be getting more Switch consoles this Friday. It seems that they’re restocking in preparation for the coming release of Splatoon 2. However, there is a catch. It turns out that the restock will not be a big one, and quantities will still be limited.

  1. Really glad I got one at launch.
It would be stressful not knowing whether I could play Splatoon 2 or not lol.
Got a whole team, waiting to play Splat2n all weekend!

Add me if you ever wanna join up during turf war or something :)

    1. Super Fighting Robot Ultron-Sigma

Glad I got mine day one as well and with no problems with the system or the left Joy-Con, luckily.

  2. Nintendo are a bunch of cheapskates regarding limited quantities of the very popular console. Please, provide even more consoles than just 5-10 Nintendo Switches! I’m starting to get sick and tired of waiting to get one. I’ve literally went to Walmart, Target and Best Buy to try and see if I could buy one, but atlas, no Nintendo Switch in sight for days, weeks, or even a few months. I am not giving up in getting one though. Someday I will get one.

    1. “Nintendo are a bunch of cheapskates regarding limited quantities of the very popular console. ”

They’re shipping them via air at an extra cost of $40 a console, which is very likely the bulk of their profit margin. This is a deeply childish response.

      1. You guys, come to Joplin, Missouri and see Walmart stock the of Switch. They literally have none. Hopefully they’ll restock more in the store soon. I don’t buy shit online, that’s basically what my problem is.

@zachalejandro: Don’t pay them two too much mind. Shrug them off & move along. You don’t have to explain yourself to anybody on here, so if anyone has a problem with your opinion then that’s THEIR problem. Don’t let it become yours if you don’t want it to. Anyway, I’ll do better than the other two guys & tell you good luck getting your Switch if you want it before this year is out as I surmise the stock shortages are gonna be around for awhile if not til the end of the year.

@cronotose & mameking94: Childish? He’s talking about still wanting a Switch & that this won’t stop him from trying to get one. It’s not like he’s screaming “Fuck Nintendo! I didn’t want a stupid fucking shitty Switch anyway!” The only problem I see is two guys being way too overprotective of Nintendo & dissing a guy for pretty much wanting a Switch & being upset he can’t get one. You guys practically insulted the poor guy. Some encouragement & telling him to just be patient & that he’ll get one eventually would go a long way instead of just calling his comment childish.

      1. His response was childish because of his low brow cheapskate comment. Also, you have no place to tell me I’m being overprotective of a company. I just don’t like immature comments.

Then tell him he is wrong & explain the situation to him in case he doesn’t know why the Switch is low in stock. cronotose calling him childish was pretty childish, and overprotective, in it’s own right before even explaining the entire situation to the guy. Agreeing with him like you did on that comment made you seem childish and overprotective, too. Now if he still resorts to badmouthing Nintendo even after the explanation & resorts to insulting you two in the process, then call him childish. For all we knew, he didn’t even know about why Nintendo is having stock issues with Switch.

Of course, I partly agree with his cheapskate comment in the general sense. Nintendo are cheapskates in a lot of areas. The NES Mini, Classic, or whatever ya want to call it was a hot item people still want & they canned it. So many amiibo that people still want & some haven’t gotten restocks in years (Smash Rosalina & Smash Meta Knight) & not to mention the ones that have released over the past 12 months like Ocarina of Time Link, Majora’s Mask Link, Twilight Princess Link, & Skyward Sword Link which still haven’t gotten restocks. Wii U ditched without even a last ditch effort to save it was pretty cheap, too. A stronger Wii U might have actually saved it. Sadly, the 3DS, which didn’t need the boost in sales, got that upgrade which I’m sure was cheaper for them than making a stronger home console.

You know what else could use a restock at Best Buy? The fucking Majora’s Mask Link amiibo!

    1. Knew we’d get a Switch hater. Aw, upset your precious StinkBox One X wost E3? TOUGH! Nintendo won with only a single game, Metroid Prime 4! So, go whine to your parents you brat and let the grown ups play.

    2. LMAO I read your comment stream… oh god made me laugh that last one did. No but seriously, the reason to get a switch is simple… its portable. I’m not bringing a PC around to europe and back to america. Its actually impressive that such a small and portable device is this powerful. Think of a mid-high end PC compared to an xbox… that is essentially the switch in relation to other portables.

  4. Man… I used to live in New York and other big cities before I even started gaming… but I am sure glad I live a small one. See my hype for Nintendo and video games in general were at an all time low. I remembered being so excited for the then NX and for Zelda BOTW… then when I somehow lost interest for a while… I didnt care when zelda released or when the switch was released… I was like “cool… I’ll get Zelda for sale and the switch I might not even get) So I didn’t get the switch for a while but Zelda was a different story. I forced myself to play my favorite game before I stopped gaming (btw I stopped gaming for only 4-5 months only) that game was windwaker. After that my craving for video games was back. I got zelda for wii u as i still didn’t have a switch. It was such a blast, even my brother liked it. I found a new video game series I love to death now being final fantasy and finally I went about 3 weeks ago to pick up a switch. Anxious I was, hoping it wouldn’t be sold out as I had heard of the scarcity of the consoles. I nervously asked the best buy employee, “You wouldn’t happen to have any Nintendo Switches would you?” As I said this, I looked around, there were three other people who were buying switches. The employee said, “yeah, I’ll go get one for you to check out.” I could barely contain my excitement. Then I looked in the storage room where they kept the switches and it was chock full of them. There must’ve been anywhere from 20-30 of them. There is no way I would be able to get a switch like I did had I lived in new york still!
