Cancelled Wii U Game ‘Hyper Light Drifter’ May Be Coming To Switch

Back in September of last year, a Wii U and Vita game called Hyper Light Drifter was cancelled during its development. Heart Machine’s Alex Preston previously announced in a Kickstarter update video that Hyper Light Drifter had been cancelled on both the Wii U and the Vita. Preston also said that this was because of issues with his health and the game’s engine. In a tweet to a fan, Preston says that he’s looking into getting the title on Nintendo Switch so we may see the title on the eShop down the line.

Hyper Light Drifter is currently available on Steam.

Don’t let anyone know you are talking about the Switch. You might get called a troll again.

Wait… Oops… I let people know you meant the Switch! Quick! Run for your lives!

(I tried to find a video from the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie & Jennifer Connelly of that one scene where a character screams that line but Youtube fucking sucks so I couldn’t find one & I don’t feel like hunting for it if it’s not gonna be on the first damn page!)

    1. But seriously, Mr. Preston seems to actually be working on it based on some other messages as well. Seems like a situation where negotiations with Nintendo are hopefully already occurring.
