In the most recent issue of Japanese publication Famitsu, it has been revealed that the game voted by readers as the best RPG game of all time is Persona 5.
Some Nintendo entries have appeared in the top 20, including Dragon Quest III which came in at number 2, and also Xenoblade for the Wii and Nintendo 3DS which was further down the list at number 11. Check out the full list below:

It’s honestly subjective, some classify Zelda as an action-adventure game, but nearly every Zelda game (of not all of them) are classified as RPGs in the eShop

Well, we’ll see if that withstands the test of time. It’s fairly fresh in people’s minds right now.
However, I can’t disagree. It’s my game of the year so far and my 2nd favorite JRPG of all time, only behind Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.

BUT… Final Fantasy X… this is coming from a guy who is usually gameplay first… FInal Fantasy X… also from a guy who loves the Final Fantasy series with 6 being his first one… Final Fantasy X… is tied… for my best game OF ALL TIME… tied of course with Windwaker (HD)
It’s good and all, amazing even (clarification: I haven’t played it but I watched a friend play during the Madarame chapter and recruit Yusuke and I thought “okay, I HAVE to see how this ends” and heavily considered getting a PS4 JUST for Persona 5), but isn’t it a little early to claim it’s the best RPG of all time?
I’m fine with this list as long as a MOTHER game is in the top 20. I wouldn’t agree with FF XV’s place though. Personally I think MOTHER 3 belongs in that place. lol
ive never played the mother series if im honest… but ffxv over all those other games… its a damn disgrace in my opinion. People are hyped because its still a new game with dlc still coming out. Hell, FFXV was what made me a final fantasy fan but… its not FF6 or FF9 or Witcher 3 good! I know Japan really likes nice stories but FFXV imo didn’t have the best story. The plot was simple, it wasn’t as intriguing as FFX’s story or 7’s or 6’s. The story was also short. idk how it got so high on this list…

It’s a great game, but best RPG of all time? I think it’s a little too early to make that claim. Definitely an amazing game though, although at times I wish it would give a bit more freedom.

JK… obviously, suicide is really, really sad and greedy. There are few people who I feel sorry for who commit suicide. It is the most greedy thing you can do. What right do you have to take away your own life after God gives it to you? Of course, applying to people who believe in God which I understand not everyone does. It is still just as greedy, your life effects everyone you meet and interact with, it isn’t just yours, it is something shared by everyone you know.
And even if you still think of killing yourself and don’t believe in God, that means you don’t believe in Heaven either. So what would happen if you died? What does it mean to not exist. Do you really want to find out? No, you don’t. So put down the gun, drop the noose, and turn of that car engine (or just open the garage, either way) and go and try to turn your life around.

I feel like Final Fantasy V should be somewhere on there, it’s one of the more underrated FF games right beside X and XIII (which yes, I do like FFXIII, don’t hate me), nobody ever seems to talk about it much because most people haven’t played it, give it a try if you haven’t already
Oiiiiiii, FF13 is one of the better final fantasys imo! Maybe top 5 for me! And I agree that 5 is underrated… it is very overshadowed by 6 because 6 was such a classic. But is FFX underrated? I’m deep in the final fantasy fanbase but FFX is sometimes people’s favorite final fantasy. If there were a poll for final fantasy fans, the list would look 1. FF7, 2. FF6, 3. FF9, and 4. FFX (out of ALL FF games) FFX is one of my fav games ever if you couldn’t tell…
