IGN was able to go hands-on with the SNES Classic hardware at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. While they didn’t get to actually play any games or try the system, they were able to hold it and compare it to other items like a launch SNES, a SNES cartridge, and the ever-elusive NES Classic.
Everything we’ve been seeing and hearing about the SNES Classic has been wonderful, now we just have to wait to see if we can actually secure a pre-order…
The SNES Classic will launch on September 29, 2017 for $79.99 and comes with 21 pre-installed games, including the never before released Star Fox 2.
How come that I never have any problem securing my pre-orders, but all I hear on the internet is how impossible it is?
By the day it seems more and more to me that people are simply not planning suffitiently, and extenalize the blame for their own incompetence…
Oh yeah, like it was my fault when Nintendo put the SS amiibos online when I was fucking working, it was all my fault that I couldn’t secure a preorder. Not Nintendo limiting their stock like they always do, nope.
Or me if I’m sleeping or doing something else like actually playing video games, watching movies or television shows, eating, watching my kid, & all the other stuff that’s more important then spending 24/7 refreshing a page on an online store or waiting outside a Wal-Mart or Gamestop for them to open.

However collective ownership is a characteristic of Socialism, and I believe it is possible to link it to the idea of everyone receiving an equal share of production.

Yeah. I suppose a distributist system could potentially avoid such a problem; if it can be prevented from devolving into capitalism.
It might sound strange, but some of us actually have lifes. We work, we have families to take care of, and still have to find time to game (because its a hobby, not a priority.) Now when something like SNES mini comes out, and the preorder window is only a few minutes long, then it becomes impossible for us to get it. Weve been Ninty fans for years, but because of responsibilities, we get shafted. (I can personally say that im working 14 hours a day, and still have to find time for my family, gf, gaming and sleeping.)
I’m on disability but I do have other things that I want and/or have to do that’s far more important than an amiibo. Besides, it’s not MY responsibility to have good stock for a product they should be trying to freaking sell so they can actually make money. People want to talk about how video games aren’t a priority but a luxury we get. Well that defense for companies goes both fucking ways. It’s a fucking luxury that I even buy the company’s product as I don’t really have to buy it because it’s a luxury. If you don’t have what I want or don’t give me what I want, I’ll take my money elsewhere. Simple as that.
All of this right here. I can understand that trying to find the correct amount of stock may be difficult at times, but what I can’t understand is that Nintendo will literally stop production on something when it’s still selling out within minutes instead of a few hours. After the NES mini fiasco, I don’t think I’ll even be able to preorder this thing before Nintendo decides to pull the plug. Anything they produce besides the actual games for the systems is a rarity when it shouldn’t even be one.

I am not here to dictate your lives in this regard, it is all up to yourselves, but my point is this: if it is when you are sleeping; put an alarm on. If it when you are working (and you have any of the most common jobs), take a toilet break at the right time.
This is what I believe to be dedication, and if one does not feel the need for this in their life, by all means.
But if one at the same knows the landscape of low stock and high demand, then I suggest that those people cut down their wining…

If Gamestop sticks to what they told me, there won’t BE any preorders for this. It’ll be first come, first serve. At least, at Gamestop. Not sure what other stores will be doing.
It’s coming to the point where I’ll have to camp outside of the mall and then not get trampled over college students just to get an Nintendo product. It’s ridiculous.
I had to wait in line for 3 HOURS to get the NES Classic Mini. And even that was overwhelming for me (and awkward, having to hear the people in front of me talking about their entire stupid lives). I can’t imagine having to camp outside a store.
In my personal experience GameStop never kept their word on almost anything.
I believe you’re better off finding another alternative for future purchases.

America, but I live in a very small town where half of the population comes form college students.

And post-ordering is not viable in your area then? That is usually the easiest workaround, but it will of course depends on the shipping will cost in your area…
The places I know of don’t ever accept preorders on stuff like this, whenever I try it’s first come first serve even after it’s released.
Strange that USA has a lesser service than Sweden in this regard, one would assume otherwise…
