Kingdom Hearts 3 Producer Clarifies Comments On Potential Switch Port

After an interview with IGN, it was reported that Kingdom Hearts 3’s Testsuya Nomura teased the possibility of a Nintendo Switch version of Sora’s latest adventure. However, Nomura has clarified these comments in an interview with Famitsu. According to DualShockers, Nomura only meant to say that Kingdom Hearts 3 could come to other systems after the PS4 and Xbox One release. Only vaguely alluding to Nintendo’s console, it seems fans may have jumped to conclusions. Would you still like to see Kingdom Hearts 3 come to Switch? Tell us below.

  1. Ridiculous that this game is coming to Xbox and not Switch. As if those American sports fans of the Xbox demographic go for JRPGs like KH. Ultimately I blame Nintendo however for not doing all they can to get this game on their platform.

    1. kh3 was annnounced before the market decided if ps4 or xbone was the way to go dude. the switch wasn’t an idea and the wii u wasn’t powerful enough to support it.

      the games been in development for years and adding a switch version would make no sense at this point.

      quit being delusional.

      1. The way to go have been decided since 2013, specially for a JRPG, years before KH3 was announced….

      2. Ridley X3 {Jaded Ninty fan. Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4. Awaiting Greatness on Nintendo Switch; just need cloud storage, add external HDD support, & to eliminate the need for that stupid Nintendo Switch Online App on smartphones.}

        Nintendo knew this game was coming, so DeBono-san’s comment isn’t delusional in the slightest as Nintendo had plenty of time to make sure this game comes to whatever system they have out when that game releases. Besides, if porting over is so damn easy, there is no excuse KH3 couldn’t be ready for Switch either on or near the release date. You people can’t have it both ways. You can’t say the Switch is easy to port for then say bullshit like that.

      1. It most likely will, sadly, Nintendo doesnt take messures like MS to ensure that the big titles come to its platform, even if theyre destine to flop. So who really cares about their consumers?

        Has nothing to do with anything. Microsoft’s console is easy to multi-plat to if you’re already releasing on PS4. The marketing is joined at the hip, it requires adding no extra functionality like motion controls or portability, and the disc format is nearly identical so you can avoid extra production costs.

    2. Totally agree with you about seeing this game on the Xbox…… KH was never released on the Xbox and they decide to make the game on that piece of metal.

      Well at least if they want to bring KH3 on the Switch, for me, is good because this game deserve his place on the system.

  2. Jumping to conclusions? What I got from the original announcement was “We could probably port it to the Switch but first we need to get it on the PS4 and Xbox so that the fans don’t get upset”

    Also, they should REALLY put 1.5+2.5 and 2.8 onto the Xbox before KHIII comes out.

    1. Many of us want to play on the Switch, but everybody hates the Switch is classified as an optional console to put games.

      Well we are talking about Square Enix which is working on KH3 since 2012. Wow 6 years for release a game and they also said they will do some cut on the game.

    “Switch is so easy to port for!” Apparently not as easy as the fanboys want to pretend it would seem.

    1. I think this is a choice of the company for not put the game on the Switch. They want to release the game on the other 2 consoles because they are working on this game for 6 years.
