  1. Looks pretty good =) I wonder if “fusion difficulty mode” actually gives you the fusion suit? That’d be sick as hell if that’s what happens!

    1. Ridley X3 {R.I.P. Chester Bennington of Linkin' Park. Thank you for the awesome music. You will be missed. *cries*}

      Too bad I won’t be able to find out first hand since the 2pack is gone from Wal-Mart which was my last chance.

  2. I hope these 2 amiibo are sold separately, and not in a bundle with the game. Though sometimes I wonder why I keep buying every single amiibo that comes out. I barely have money to survive, and I’m throwing it away on little plastic figures that I mostly never use.

    1. Because it’s metroid…enough said! Metroid is the goddess of gaming itself (imo)! So I at least think it’s absolutely worth it to get everything to do with samus returns!

    2. I think the pre-order was separate from the game. Tho we’ll likely see it bundled in GameStop to make us fork over more money for the sake of getting the Metroid Amiibo.

    3. It’s a 2 pack separate from the game. At least in the States. Was able to reserve o e at GameStop. Wanted to made sure I got them since the collectors edition is sold out pretty much everywhere ready

  3. Don’t lock regular content like art and sound test behind amiibo, those aren’t worth that huge amount of money when I could access all of that online. Give us something worth the money!

      1. Yes, it unlocks after you beat the game if you didn’t use amiibo to get it early.

        Think about it- if you scan an amiibo for content, why would you still have to work for it? That would be like if you scanned a Link amiibo in Breath of the Wild and it gave you the Hero of Twilight set but with the stipulation of “you will find the suit hidden within the crags of a fiery mountain once the Calamity has been sealed.”

        It was the same way in Star Fox Zero- you could scan a Fox or Falco amiibo to use a special Arwing, but said Arwings could be unlocked to use WITHOUT amiibo after earning a certain amount of medals. The amiibo function as “early access” passes in this regard.

  4. Things like an art gallery or even a difficulty mode are just way too much. Sure, if you happen to own these amiibos you’re feeling like a king now, but considering that you need to buy at least 2 ammibos extra to a 3DS game for at least these two features that are already in that game anyways feels like a ripoff. In the end they’re gonna hice the Cappy-Coop Mode in Mario Galaxy behind an amiibo as well.

  5. Why exactly is it called FUSION difficulty mode? Are they going to add Ice X parasites from Fusion into it? (Anyone who’s played Fusion knows why they’re so dangerous at first)

    Actually, scratch that- that would make no sense from a lore standpoint.

      1. How cool would it be they did a surprise Metroid Fusion sequel built into the game where it turns out the Bottle Ship didn’t completely destroy SR388 so Samus returns to the planet yet again to completely get rid of the X parasite. They could reuse the world but just have all the enemies be X parasites and make the game pretty much the same, but include a new storyline and up the difficulty to make it a hard mode.

  6. Everyone is complaining that these features are locked behind Amiibo. However, I personally plan to own those new Amiibo. Two of each if I can, one for play one for hanging on my wall. I especially want that squishy Metroid Amiibo.

    1. What features are locked behind amiibos? The ones that are just cheats to refill your stuff at any moment or the ones you unlock naturally after beating the game?

  7. I read “Metroid Maker” in the Metroid functionality and like “HOLY SH*T, WAIT, WHAT?”.
    But the functionalities are all just to cheese the game out for noobs, nothing important….

      1. Why would you purposelessly play on a harder difficulty just to cheat?
        Also, how was that an insult? If you are not a gamer, you will be a noob at Metroid, no sugarcoat. It only becomes an insult if you want it to be….

  8. Ridley X3 {R.I.P. Chester Bennington of Linkin' Park. Thank you for the awesome music. You will be missed. *cries*}

    And just like that, I get fucking screwed! The damn 2 pack of the Samus & Metroid amiibo is sold out at Wal-Mart now too! That’s 2 things I can’t get in the fucking game now when I get my FUCKING copy of Samus Returns in September! First I miss out on the Fierce Deity armor in BotW because MM Link amiibo sold out & now this bullshit. FUCK, FUCK, FUCK!!!

    Now I’ve missed out on FOUR FUCKING AMIIBO I WANTED NOW BECAUSE SHITENDO REFUSES TO ACTUALLY FUCKING STOCK & RESTOCK SHIT!!!

    1. Ridley X3 {R.I.P. Chester Bennington of Linkin' Park. Thank you for the awesome music. You will be missed. *cries*}

      Those parentheses better mean I can still get that shit by simply beating the game. Still doesn’t get me those amiibo, though, and still doesn’t fix the fucking shitty stock!
