  1. I wonder if Nintendo knows that Japanese fans and some American fans are getting really upset about the cast of characters being only from Awakening and above, I know the series popularity rise with Awakening(11), but SE NEVER ignored its characters from FF games below 7, which is when FF7 became a worldwide phenomenon too, they still pay a lot of respect to those older characters, and no, a mobile game does not count.

    1. Yep. Now both best FEA girl (Cordelia) and the character I ship Chrom with (Girl Robin) are both playable. Maybe I’ll get this game even if it doesn’t have Roy and Ike.

  2. Oh look, another Awakening popularity poll winner is being shoehorned in- soon they’ll announce Tharja and Gaius too and then the whole adult generation of winners will be in Warriors.

Still it’s nice to see mounted units coming in- we already have Xander and Frederick, what other riders can make it? Maybe… SETH?

    1. I fail to understand why Nintendo focusing on popular characters is being seen as a bad thing. Let me ask you this; If you had 2 franchises at your disposal and 1 of them was a “Major success” and the other was “Moderately successful”, which game would common sense say you should focus on? Now replace the 2 franchises with Cordelia and this Seth and you have the same situation from Nintendo’s Perspective.
This is the harsh world of business and like any company, Nintendo is focusing on profit before anything else.

    2. Face it. Gaius would be amazing. but they specifically said those three games. If you want to complain, take it to them, not whining about it here. Even then, a popularity poll between all games would only lead to Ike, so it not like the so-called minor entries count.

      1. I suppose I’m in the minority then, as I don’t really like Ike. I just don’t think pulling from only three games in a series that has over 10 entries is a good idea. It’s like Smash Bros.- thanks to certain character inclusions on those games’ rosters, people got more exposure to those series and actually tried them (when I played Smash 64, I had no idea who Samus, Kirby, Ness, or Captain Falcon were, but I wanted to find out and I did, and turns out their games are awesome, and it happened again with Shulk in Sm4sh). By including units from lesser-known titles such as Sacred Stones, Gaiden, Radiant Dawn, etc., it might spark interest in those that didn’t make the spotlight the way Awakening and Fates had.

Out-of-the-blue picks can happen- remember Agitha in Hyrule Warriors? Or Marin?

Cordelia & femRobin, eh? I did like Cordelia so I’m happy with this. Not feeling the design they went for with femRobin, though. I’d rather have the shoulder length hair femRobin over the twin ponytails.

    1. Wasn’t that hairstyle the default one for FemRobin? I think they just do that for the customizable units- they did the same thing with Robin’s and Corrin’s designs in Smash.

These characters with customizable options in the games they came from should have been given customization options in Smash & FE Warriors. It’d be nice if the game comes out & when we go to play it that the my unit/avatar characters have a section in the game where we can change their designs. Being that other Warriors games let us create our own character, I don’t see why it shouldn’t be in the realm of possibility.
