The Mayo V. Ketchup Splatfest for Splatoon 2 is now underway in Japan and we now have some footage to share. As you can see in the clip below, which shows a whole match of Turf War, each teams’ ink is coloured in Ketchup red or Mayo white. We also get to see the new Splatfest-only Twilight Zone stage.
}{ This game really doesn’t do enough to differentiate itself from the original… This is more akin to Splatoon: Deluxe Edition than Splatoon 2… }{
Many sequels are actually the same game but with more content. If this is your logic then every games it must be called Deluxe instead of 2 or 3 and so on.
this is especially true in Shooters… CoD MW 2 isnt different from MW1
Exactly!
I agree with you but not in such a negative sense. The world isn’t ready for a true Splatoon 2 yet, the first one came out only two years ago. The package were getting is fantastic; Splatoon, but with a new mode, much more content and now portable as well as being able to play it on TV.
Compare Splatoon 1 at launch vs Splatoon 2 at launch. Splatoon 1 by the end certainly makes Splatoon 2 look like a ‘deluxe’ version but by the end when all the free updates are out, Splatoon 2 will really look like a sequel. When Splatoon 1 was launched people said it was great but incomplete… not spent the end of its life. Similarly, this is happening with Splatoon 2… except instead of saying it isn’t complete, people say it isn’t a sequel.
