ARMS’ Producer Discussed The Game’s Early Success, A Removed Feature & Street Fighter’s Dhalsim

One week ago, a new interview went up on YouTube from user KayaneTV that took place during France’s Japan Expo. The interview features ARMS Producer Kosuke Yabuki. There, Yabuki talked about the early success that ARMS has had, a feature that they had to remove which involved how strongly you punched and even a confirmation that there are no plans to add Dhalsim from Street Fighter to the game. The video interview is down below, so feel free to check it out.

      1. Not only is he Nintendo, but he can extend his arms too.

        However, he’s pretty minor in the DKC series. There aren’t too many major first-party characters who can guest star and fit in with the ARMS universe.

        They should just focus on more original characters.

  1. How about, they just make original characters for an original game until it gets legs to stand on? Er, ARMS, to… lift with…?

    Basically, wait until it becomes a regular series before you start shoving guest characters into it. Same thing I said about Splatoon when people wanted F.L.U.D.D from Mario Sunshine in it- let the game prove itself first.

    1. Ridley X3 {R.I.P. Chester Bennington of Linkin' Park. Thank you for the awesome music. You will be missed. *cries*}

      Good point. Smash didn’t start getting non-Nintendo characters til Brawl came around.

  2. Ridley X3 {R.I.P. Chester Bennington of Linkin' Park. Thank you for the awesome music. You will be missed. *cries*}

    Smash got 2 games before a 3rd one came around & had characters like Sonic & Solid Snake. Let’s make sure ARMS & Splatoon are gonna greatly sell with 2 games before we go throwing in other characters from other franchises.

      Throw in characters from other franchises too soon & you’ll be saying the new IPs can’t make it on their own merits & original characters.
