Nippon Ichi Software has confirmed today during its latest financial briefing that Disgaea 5 Complete on the Nintendo Switch has sold more than 100,000 copies worldwide. This number is in line with the company’s expectations as they had previously confirmed a similar amount of pre-orders.

I agree with this, I fell in love with the series back on PSP and it was understandable why they’d put YS games on Vita back then, but putting games like YS on dead consoles aren’t getting them any sales, putting it on Switch would give them sales

Why would you want to cripple sales on a series? I mean, unless youre one of “those” that cares more about the platform its on than the actual success of the series, I dont see why a fan wouldnt want the most of a series they loved.
Good game. Tons of content. Though Splatoon 2 has been taking up my Switch time.
I am glad it did good. I couldn’t bring myself to pay full price for a time consuming game, when I can’t stop playing other time consuming games,but I am happy to see such a healthy platform so early in its life. Good things are ahead!

Not really no, NIS is a fairly small company so 100k copies is a lot. As Thanos said, 100k for a COD, BF, Mario, Halo, or Uncharted game is game over, but for a smaller studio, 100k is good.

This game is too much of a time sink for me lol I like it but I can’t dedicate the amount of time it requires to finish
It’s just a port so decent numbers. Anyway I feel that game old, they should rejuvenate its mechanics eventually.
