    1. Indeed. But I still don’t understand why Circle Square Enix seems a little worried about the sales of their Dragon quest when from this article it seems the most sold game on the 3DS.

    1. Not while they still have stores having customers line up for lotteries for a chance to buy a Nintendo Switch.

      1. Any evidence that’s still happening? Even if it is, that doesn’t mean there are production issues. Even if Nintendo faced absolutely no issues, they can only produce a finite amount of consoles in a given time. Switch has averaged over 80k sales a week for the past month. Seems obvious Nintendo is not currently having the same production problems they had before.

        1. The point was there are still more customers than Nintendo can handle. Yes there is proof because of the stores still holding lotteries. If you taking about the Apple issue then I don’t know. As far as production goes they are not able to keep up with demand.

          1. My point was that it’s safe to assume now that the production issues have been resolved. I said that. Nintendo can’t do anything about the amount of demand there is. They don’t appear to be doing anything wrong in terms of meeting demand. They appear to be doing the best that can be done. It’s irrational to ask for anything more at this point. People just have to be patient.

            1. That is production problems when you can’t meet demand. It is not a bad problem to have for any business. It means you have something good. There is definitely production issues. Those 80k could be 100 or 200k.

It’s Japan. Nintendo will do everything in their power to keep Japan well supplied while the rest of the world has to suffer shitty stock. Favoritism is the enemy of all.

      1. Oh yes of course. Nintendo managed to increase production enough to bump Japan’s sales from less than 30k a week to over 80k a week, but is deciding to shun its biggest markets (US and Europe).

Take a look at the past weekly regional sales and tell me that Nintendo is showing favoritism to Japan.

My point is Japan is Nintendo’s country of origin & have shown favoritism for Japan plenty of times in the past. Til we get numbers from the US & Europe’s sales in August, we don’t really know if the production issues have been resolved yet. But if August sales in US & Europe are nowhere near the same sales as Japan’s overall sales for August, I’d call that favoritism right there. That or the Switch just isn’t doing as well in the US & Europe as it is in Japan.

Right now, I’m just throwing out possibilities & not trying to state anything as a fact just yet.

  1. I saw a few Switch consoles in stock at Best Buy the other day. But I have NEVER seen the neon Switch in stores since that first day it launched. Makes me even more glad that I got the neon one (thank you Target). It’s great to see it’s selling so great. At least, in Japan. It’s so hard to believe there’s SO many people on that tiny island of Japan.

Now if only I had a reason to play it, other than the Breath Of The Wild DLC. I have such a difficult time feeling interested in a game after I’ve already defeated the final boss and watched the credits etc. Even when there’s brand new DLC.

No, he’s not. People are interested in what they’re interested in, & most of what some of us see on Switch is not what interests us. That & some of us got a PS4 with options for a cheaper data storage (external HDDs) so most games on Switch will be bought on the system that we can spend less money on hardware for.

      1. How can anybody possibly complain about the over 100 games available in the less than 6 months the Switch has been on the market? Great first party games, and a huge variety of third party games, with more first/third party heavy hitters coming soon. I don’t get it. I guess the entire PS4 library would have to been available on Switch’s release date or something. Ridiculous. I have more than 12 games and they are all worth every penny I spent on them. It’s a great library for it’s first 6 months.

      2. I’ll start feeling better once Super Mario Odyssey comes out. And whenever Pikmin 4 finally gets freakin’ announced and released. Not to mention Animal Crossing. Like, WHERE ARE THESE BIG TITLES?

And in reply to Jay Garvens, there’s really over 100 titles on the Switch? Most of those must be digital only. Because I don’t see very many at all in stores. And I only buy physical games.

        1. lol this is what I don’t get though. Many people out here, you included, buy the system without at least a confirmation that the games you want are coming, only to complain about it later on. No shade or anything, but that would be like me buying a PS4 for the new Bloody Roar game that was never announced and probably not coming. This is a really common issue and I have no idea why.
