It’s Wednesday and as perusal the Media Create charts have come in direct from Japan informing us how the various software and hardware releases are performing. It has been another great week for Dragon Quest XI on the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo 3DS and its not looking likely that anything will dethrone it anytime soon. Looks like hardware constraints are a continuous issue.
Well not really, it’s mainly because Dragon Quest XI in Japan is another game they love.
Japan’s lucky, as they constantly get restocked but in the West, we have to wait weeks to see a restock
Look at the sales of Splatoon 2 son, do you really think the Switch will sell 22k only when MH is around the corner, and 3 thousand people line up to RNG 300 Switches on a store is happening all the time in the country?
Perusal? Per usual?

Hey, the Xbox One is up 25 units! Go team Xbox!!
WHAT???
Success will not be tolerated! Find another highly anticipated game and shut it down! What’s a MS exec got to do to get their gaming division shut down?!
Lmao
There’s not really a lot out there for Switch that’s launched very recently, which reflects in the reduced number, I think more than the availability of hardware in the region.
I believe Mario+Rabbids will sell loads and help to create awareness of Ubi’s franchise in Japan
Dude, it has NOTHING to do with games. Are you kidding me? This is purely about available units to be purchased. People are still doing lottery lines with THOUSANDS of people in them just hoping to win a chance to buy a Switch in Japan.
And MHXX bundle this friday
Since I don’t know the best place to inform of news, I’ll say it here. There will be another global testpunch this weekend. You can find the demo for the global testpunch on the eShop as of right now.
You know when you’re not wanted when you sell less systems than 2 dead consoles. #RIPXBOXJP #GOHOME
*Shrugs* It happens. Sales rise and drop. Happened a couple months ago, then they shot back up.
Purely driven by available supply, the demand is still far higher than they can keep up with production wise. Those lines of people by the thousands with lottery tickets to have a chance to buy a Switch are still there. Anybody who thinks this is a sign of Switch sale slowdown is ludicrously ignorant of the situation, or if they are aware of the situation and still think this is the case, just flat out dumb.
I really thought Japan would embrace BOTW a lot more.
Bad perfomance. Well… it will rise next week eventually.
