Quite a few of you were pleased to hear that NBA 2K18 is destined for the Nintendo Switch. US Gamer is reporting that the Nintendo Switch version of the game should include amiibo support and will also have exactly the same content as the PlayStation 4 version of the game, so there’s no corners being cut on the Nintendo Switch version. This is clearly very encouraging.

It would seem based on the latest comments from EA they had a choice. Use Frostbite and have it run at something like 900p 30fps docked 720p 30fps handheld, maybe 720p 60fps docked and 720p 30fps handheld, or something to that effect. That, or take the older engine, add some things to push it beyond previous gen capabilities, and make it 1080p 60fps docked 720p 60fps handheld. Maybe 720p 60fps or even 30fps frostbite would look much better than this engine 1080p 60fps, so maybe it is a missed opportunity. Hard to say.
Wow… low-key not expecting to hear this… I was sure they would pull the Xbox 360 and PS3 shit they’ve done since 2k14. I mean I might get the game… but only because its portable. I swear, 2k better not pull anymore more bullshit with 2k18.
I’m happy with the effort on both this an FIFA. I hope they do well on the charts, as I want to see more third party content on the Switch as a sign of a healthy ecosystem.
