A number of publications have gone hands-on with the final version of the long-awaited return of the Metroid franchise, Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS. One such person is YouTuber AbdallahSmash who has kindly provided three videos showcasing some of the intense 2D action and exploration you’ll be doing once the game is released later this month. I haven’t watched anything on this game since it was revealed. I want to go in as blind as possible, it’s been quite a while since I played Metroid 2.

I totally hate being spoiled so much content before release, but I just lack the self control to actually not watch a new video on a game whenever it’s released.
That’s how I’ve been with Mario Odyssey :P I’ve been trying to avoid it, but I’m too excited to stay away from all the footage.
Just around 10 days left before release. Since I canceled my Gamestop preorder of the special edition & got it digitally on the eShop, I can play it as soon as the clock strikes midnight. Once I download that patch that unlocks it, that is.

I wish Nintendo had a demo for this like Hey Pikmin. Pikmin’s demo came a month in advance and we have nothing on Samus Returns.
