Whether you want it or not the Mega Man movie is still happening and it is being produced by none other than Hiro from the Heroes TV series, Masayori Oka. The production is currently in the very early stages, according to Oka.
We’ve just started the Mega Man movie. The writer/directors are working on a script right now, and we’re just in the beginning development stages of that.

So Im just gonna say it. Zak Effron looks just like Megaman. He also looks like an 8 yr old boy, so despite hating him on every level I think he is the right person for the role. As for Dr. Light, I would go with Anthony Hopkins. Willy could be played by so many people. I would like to see Bill Hader do it, but someone older might be better suited. Roll should be played by a young blonde, maybe Chloe Grace Moretz. And yes I know Effron and her already did Neighbors 2 together, but that just means they’ve already developed on screen chemistry. DONT HATE. YOU KNOW IM RIGHT. I SHOULD BE A GODDAMN CASTING DIRECTOR.
Good. I’ve been wanting a Megaman movie for a long time, possibly even before the whole Megaman Legends 3 drama. As long as Megaman isn’t black, female, or LGBTQ, how bad can it be?
That actor is producing it? He’s mostly done comedy so I’m not sure how I should feel about him being a producer. But he was pretty cool in Heroes as an action star. Not to mention one of the best characters in Alien: Covenant was played by a comedian and he’s one of the guys making the new Halloween reboot. Just have to wait & see but I’m sadly expecting a trainwreck from this. Just have to wait & see.
