Fans of the original Rayman Legends on Wii U won’t find much new content in the upcoming Nintendo Switch edition of Ubisoft’s 2D platformer. In fact, both versions of the game are practically identical to each other. The only actual difference is a tournament score-tracking system for the Kung Foot minigame. To learn more about the similarities between the two, check out the video below. The Nintendo Switch port – titled Rayman Legends Definitive Edition – is set to launch on September 12.
Well that’s disappointing.
:D !
Good thing this isn’t Ubisoft’s only Switch game and we can still heavily support them through Mario + Rabbids.
I think 99,99% of all developers would support Switch if they got to use Mario or some other IP from Nintendo :P
I never played the game even though I owned a Wii u. I believe I will get it.
Same here.
I never finished it, and gifted my copy to my sisters family already.
I’ll likely get it when I can buy it for about 20€
It’s a port. What were people expecting? All versions of the game are near identical.
Personally I expected something new because its the definitive edition
is anyone really surprised?
Actually, he’s clickbaiting yet again.
The game itself is the PS4 and Xbox One version of the Game but with the added Wii U features.
Graphically, it’s slightly better as well as some minor improvements to the frame rate compared to the Wii U version.
Yeah but will it have those features the Gamepad had. I downloaded the sample on Eshope no flicking switches or cutting ropes with your finger?
yeah was wondering as well. having all of these things done pretty much automatically seems totally pointless.
No surprise there. It is a port after all.
I can’t believe NL made a video about this, and then MNN made that video an article. Did anybody expect anything different? LOL Fail.
The differences between the ps4 version and wiiu version in terms of fidelity and performance isn’t worth discussing, so why would wiiu to switch be worth discussing? It’s an even lesser leap of an already minor leap that we know of. Switch isn’t this super powerful device over the Wii U. No changes to any wii u port is going to ever be worth talking about.
Unless the WiiU game was like south of 30fps and switch managed to bring it up to baseline performance
I noticed in the first beta that the touch-function was gone.
