Digital Foundry Test Out Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

The technology enthusiasts over at Digital Foundry love checking out the latest games and putting them through their paces. The latest game to be analysed by the team is the recently released Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle on the Nintendo Switch. For those who don’t have time to watch the video, NeoGAF member Cartho has a summary:

  • 900p docked
  • 600p in portable
  • Good AA solution + clever use of DoF means it is hard to tell the game isn’t running at 720p in handheld mode.
  • Frame rate mostly solid 30 with some drops when special effects occur while zoomed in.
  • Frame pacing pretty much perfect throughout

      digital hypercdritical shit= mk8 wiiu some how looks slow and horible and stutters LOL yeah right because it refreshes at 59 plus frames a second not a exact 60 (but a sub 30 ps4 game somehow isnt astuttering fuk you foundery)

      killzone ps4 is 1080p THEY TOLD EVERYONE oh wait its 960by1080 and not 1080p at all BUSTD FOUNDRY…

      mario kart 8 is 1080p like everyone else they got court up in the wiiu games are all 1080p MEGA BRAINFART ALL OVER THE NET..clear to any sane person its 720p they got fooled by the super sharp look of the game

      there to obsessed with the nubers and not te facts….if mario rabbids loks fine at 600p and you couldnt tell,it only proves there res obsession is pointless…

      and last but not least the slow down they shiown was clearly a intentional thing as the camera swooped in there was a slo mo effect at the EXACT SAME TIME THE FPS TUMBLED there for it was a EFFECT not a slow down in the switchs abillity to run the game THE FACVT THEY CARNT WORK THAT OUT IS EXACTLY WHY THEY ANNOY ME

      THERE WIIU CPU BULLSHIT WAS LIIE WATCHING 3 YR OLDS EXPLAIN THE EARTH

    2. Yeah I agree with you. One thing I have noticed, though, is when it does a close up slow mo effect at the same time that you shoot a fire weapon and it causes the burn effect to happen, it made my game freeze for a few seconds before it caught up with itself.

    WHEN IT WAS A STOP MOTION EFFECT TO GIVE THAT AMAZING LOOK TO THE FIGHTS WHEN LINK KICKED ASS,AND HAD A SEXY LOOKING STOP MOTION LOOK TO IT THAT WAS COOL AS FUK IN THE WINDWAKER CARTOON VISUALS….

    I HOLD MY HEAD SOMETIMES AND WONDER WTF PEOPLE ARE THINKING
