The grand finale of today’s Nintendo Direct was Super Mario Odyssey, and the team at Nintendo had a big announcement to share for non-Switch owners that are interested in the game. A $379.99 Super Mario Odyssey-themed Switch bundle was announced. The bundle will arrive with a digital version of the game on October 27th. Nintendo tweeted out the announcement, as they usually do with their Direct-releated reveals, so we’ve included the tweet down below.

If this is what to look forward to with special edition Switches I’ll pass and stick to my launch grey model. Unless there’s a fully colored model for Metroid Prime 4, of course.
Basic home screen & now even themed bundles are gonna be basic as hell. Least the 3DS comes in different colors & themes.

The Odyssey themed carrying case. U can see it on the front of the bundle. So $300 for the system, $60 for the game and $20 for the Carrying case.
Is anyone else besides me feeling a bit annoyed at how the Joy-Cons are the only things that are ever a different color? I want to see the entire frame of the Switch screen (PLUS the dock) a different color as well.
Yes, this bundle was kinda boring. I also would’ve liked to have the physical version of the game. The EU bundle also does not include the case, so that is dissapointing also for me

Well this themed bundle sucks since only the Joy-Cons are unique. Like Mike S said, if this is what we all have to look forward to from these themed bundles, I might as well just pass on these & stick with my launch Switch.
I just noticed the Joy-Cons are just red with no special markings to make it unique from the Neon Joy-Cons being sold separately. Shame, shame, shame!
