Mario Party is known for its creative minigames and Nintendo seems to have recognised this. They’ve just announced Mario Party: The Top 100 for Nintendo 3DS. It seems to be a compilation of the series’ best minigames. It’s launching in January. Which games do you want to appear? Tell us below.

I’ll pass on this then. Why can’t Nintendo understand that some people don’t have local friends that will play things like Mario Party but have online ones that do?
As long as it play with who you know online communication is with random people is weird also this a 3ds what were you expecting a switch can do better for that type of online capability you asking for

Splatoon is not Mario Party. If you don’t want online mode, then don’t play it. Let those who want it play it. No one is forcing you to play online.

I’m tired of all this “LOCAL PLAY” philosophy BS. If this doesn’t have online play then it’s a no go for me.
[It doesnt even have to be a full gameboard online session, it can literally be only mini games capable of online play]
Same here I haven’t even bought a Mario Party game since the Gamecube days, but I really want to buy a new one as long if it has online multiplayer. I don’t even know why Nintendo insists on leaving it out, it would be like making Mario Kart with no online.
N64 I gets its the internet but I’m not angry, I’m actually happy with what we’re getting, I’m surprise you guys aren’t happy about there not being a board period, also this is the internet you can’t just assume someone emotions base on comments lol, I only mention is as weird because when I play splatoon 2 sometimes people are doing other things and won’t move getting killed easily and some have bad connections, And etc and all that I can careless what someone says when playing online as long as they know what to do, when playing the game
For me not having a board is a low point, the whole reason why the games were charming was its own take on the classic board game format. They could’ve easily had you play just minigames as an alternative option, I took advantage of that all the time if my friends and I wanted to play a specific minigame in Mario Party 2.

Look, I’m happy about this as my kids will love it. I’ll get it for sure.
But really, I think they missed a pretty big opportunity not putting this on the Switch. Would be a perfect party game. Maybe next year when they add motion controls to each game or something.

I worry about the next Mario Party game to appear on the Switch (Mario Party 11). The last 2 really went downhill in the fun factor. Mostly because of that stupid car that everyone rides around in. Plus the stupid, random wins based on luck. I HATE that! I’m afraid that Mario Party 11 will suffer this same horrible fate.

I hope they either get rid of the cart or remaster the older games by choosing fan favorite boards from past entries + minigames
They got back to another formula in star rush for the 3ds it much better then the modern Mario party and they don’t involve cars , the game was only reason to buy a Rosalina amiibo in my case it is quite fun
I’m sorry, but this should be a Switch title. Which is why I wish the 3DS would just die already so the Switch library can grow!!
While I don’t give two shits about this game as the whole point of Mario Party is to enjoy playing on a board since it’s basically a video game revolving around playing on a board like a traditional board game & the lack of online play, I’m glad the 3DS is still being supported. It’s the only Nintendo system I haven’t been disappointed in in any form over the last 5-6 years. In fact, it’s the best Nintendo system I’ve owned since the Gamecube! (Switch has a very, very long ways to go before it’s on the same level as the Gamecube & 3DS.)
