The NPD data for August 2017 is here, and the Nintendo Switch has shown another promising month. NPD analyst Mat Piscatella says that “the Nintendo Switch was August’s best-selling hardware platform, The Nintendo Switch has been the best-selling platform in four of the six months since launching in March 2017″. Apparently, Nintendo has also given hardware spending a helping hand. Piscatella revealed that “year to date, hardware spending has grown 17 percent versus 2016 to $1.7 billion. Consumer spending on Nintendo Switch and plug-‘n’-play devices, such as the NES Classic, are providing growth”.

Well it doesn’t have any games, haha! I’m no hater I like my Switch. But I call it how I see it. No games at all right now. By the end of the year we’ll have Xenoblade and Mario though, so that’s good.
Also Doom and Skyrim and plenty of others.
It’s got plenty of games now just not the games you prefer. Let’s call a spade a spade. Just because it doesn’t currently have the games you want doesn’t mean it’s gameless.
From a purely personal standpoint, he can say the system doesn’t have any games if that’s how he feels. That’s my personal standpoint, too. Least not many that I can only find on the Switch, anyway. A good majority of Switch’s games can be got on my PS4 if I so wanted any of them so the Switch is lacking big time for me. In 2017 alone, only 4 games on the Switch interest me. 4 out of over 100 titles! That’s pretty bad!

It’s either because I wouldn’t side with him against Quadraxis because he thought I was a Sony pony & would join with him against a common enemy or it’s because I figured him out & then called him out for being a person that Sasori pissed off years ago & isn’t mature enough to let go of a grudge against a guy that hasn’t trolled on here in a very long time. I think it’s the latter as I believe that’s when he became more aggressive toward me. I could be wrong, though. *shrug* Either way, I can use the laughs he gives me from his attacks. lol

I could care less about how well these systems are selling as long as the games I want keep coming to them. But I know you are “crying” since the Xbox One is getting it’s ass kicked.
There’s a ways to go but Nintendo, at this point, needs to be taken seriously even by these lame ass haters.

Yeah, that does make sense. What’s sorta unimpressive is this wasn’t always the case for Switch.
The PS4 is in it’s prime. The thing is selling like hotcakes. The Switch out performing the PS4 is pretty impressive for any console at any time in its life cycle.
Welp, you’re right. The PS4 is doing better than it is usually doing. Its peaks and lows are higher than preceding years.
So turns out it really is quite impressive in spite of my assumptions outta nowhere, had to do some homework there yup.
“Any console at any time” though is just not the case. In the initial release months literally every console does better than the PS4 is doing right now. The same goes for seasonal spikes like christmas time. Example, Wii U.
Show me proof that the Wii U outsold the PS4 at any point in its life… The Wii U’s best year (launch year) it sold 3 million units. The PS4 sold over 10 million units Q3 2016. lol. Oh you didn’t believe me when I said the PS4 is in it prime? Yea, that’s right, the PS4 sold a record breaking 10 million consoles last fall (Q3). That’s more consoles than Sony has ever sold in a single quarter…. Ever! Even beating out the PS2’s record of 8 million. So tell me again how every console ever is outselling the PS4 at this point in its life, which happen to be the highest peak of its life and it’s literally the best selling console of all time…
Ohh I see what your saying. Your saying that the sales of every console launch are higher than what the current monthly sales of the PS4 are… You should have worded it like that. Anyways that only rings true for the first few months and literally every console releases during the holiday spike. The Switch has been out for six months and launched during a stagnant time for console sales. The fact that it’s out pacing the PS4 which is the fastest selling console of all time and during its peak performance is quite a feat. It’s actually pretty remarkable, but it won’t last. And it’s also notable that the Switch has probably sold in the neighborhood of 6 million units so far, which is twice as much as the Wii U’s first year in half the time.

Excellent news! I’ve actually seen a couple bundles at a Walmart yesterday, there was 2 Splatoon2 bundles and 2 normal Grey colored Switch units. So they are out there.
Other third parties: I dunno about this Switch thing… we’ll have to turn the graphics sliders down a bit, and then the world will end!

The games I want are coming to the platforms I own so they could all have only sold 3 units this month for all I care. Congrats to the Switch, though. It might actually be able to reach the greatest Nintendo system ever and maybe even surpass it: the Gamecube.
