A number of Sonic fans have been working hard on creating a HD recreation of the iconic Sonic 2 in HD. The result is Sonic 2 HD 2.0. I’d say be careful but Sonic isn’t Nintendo’s IP, so this might be safe.
The people involved in this were also involved with Sonic Mania. SEGA is actually pretty cool when it comes to fan games.
Nintendo is cool with fan games 99% of the time. Pokemon uranium came out within a year of main games SuMo (Sun & Moon), and AM2R came out during the 2 year development of Nintendo’s own remake of Metroid 2.
The question is rather: why do we need this? I kind of feel we got a lot of official Sonic 2 games around.
They’re not as bad as Nintendo, but they have shut down games in the past.
This as NOTHING to do with Nintendo.
