  1. The Smash Bros. Link is getting a reprint? That was the most common Amibo there was. Is there really a demand for that one? Anyways, doesn’t matter. Trying to collect all the Amiibo was a losing battle. Nintendo has just made too many of them now. And the reprints have killed the collectibility of them anyways. The valuable rare Amiibos lost their value because of reprints.

    1. For people that care about them being available rather than rare/valuable this is good news. I don’t really understand why you would buy an amiibo on the basis of it being valuable.

      1. Amiibo are official Nintendo products that were in high demand with low quantity. The rare ones were valuable, and if no reprints were ever made that value would have only gotten higher over the years. I didn’t make them valuable, the market did. The fans did. I like collecting rare Nintendo products rather it be a mint up-opened CIB Link’s Awakening, a CIB Ogre Battle for SNES, or a hard to find Amiibo that everyone is dieting to have.

Or want the official figurine. I think I might want to be buried with mine when I die! lol

I agree with the point about Smash Link. Fuck that one as it doesn’t need a reprint. There are other Link amiibo that do… like Skyward Sword & Twilight Princess Link!

  2. Here’s an idea Nintendo: make an app for the Switch called “Virtual Amiibo Collection.” Each and every Amiibo is available digitally and this app would work with all games on Switch that are compatible with Amiibo. It works exactly the same as now but without the toy and would only cost $5 per Amiibo since they’re virtual. The physical Amiibo would still have value because of the toys and even the fact that you can share them with friends. The virtual Amiibo would allow people to still give you money for this locked content when the physical ones are sold out.

    Win-Win

Btw I have been debating getting the Majora’s Mask Link Amiibo because the Fierce Deity Armor in BotW is really the only one that interests me out of all the Amiibo stuff. I’m fine with the much stronger in game green tunic set.

While it’d be nice to have all the outfits in my game, including the varying versions of the green tunic, I’d mostly be happy with simply having the Hero of Time green tunic (which I already have thanks to my Hero of Time amiibo) & Fierce Deity Link tunic/armor.

There better be better stock this time. Of course, I’d love it if the Majora’s Mask Link amiibo reprints LOSE exclusivity! I WANT THAT FUCKING FIERCE DEITY LINK OUTFIT!!!

Oh & how about some reprints of the other Legend of Zelda amiibo!? A few weeks after Breath of the Wild released, I now want to have every single LoZ amiibo. Still missing a number of them.

      1. It’s impossible to find the last 3 Link amiibo that were released, even when trying to import them at retail price.
Nintendo short stock these products on purpose, there’s no way in hell that they don’t know what scalpers and retail exclusivity are doing with their products.
If I ever manage to get every Zelda Amiibo and whatever Metroid amiibo they have planned for MP4 afterwards that’s it for me, I’m not buying these damn things anymore for any other game. NOA truly doesn’t understand supply and demand because they are only supplying the worthless amiibo that have no outside of SSB, like Wii fit trainer and EarthBound amiibo ect, what fucking purpose does the wii fit amiibo have aside from SSB?! None that’s what.

I remember when NoA use to be a great, great publisher. But they definitely have become a massive joke over the last 10+ years. I wonder how long has Reggie been at NoA…

      2. Yea I’m missing the Bokoblin one I’d like to have it. Reprints don’t bother me anymore, Amiibos stopped being valuable months and months ago during the first reprints.

Oh & more importantly, THERE BETTER BE BETTER STOCK THIS FUCKING TIME!!! (Oh right. I already said that… Fuck it! I’m saying it again!)

  4. So no Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess Link Amiibo reprints that no one could get in the first place due to scalpers, retailer exclusivity and very small print count from the start?! This is why I hate NOA, there is literally no other way to buy these goddamn retail exclusive products of theirs if they run out here in the states! The least NOA could do is open up a goddamn online store themselves and sell the damn things 1 per customer online like Nintendo does in every other damn country, but they can’t even do that. Reggie needs to be fired, all of these issues with the consumer are experiencing in the states are exacerbated by his ignorance.

I’m sure Reggie has some PR excuse to read to damage control your comment.

    2. The twilight princess Amiibo is easy to find in my area. Best Buy and Walmart both have in on the shelf. I wasn’t aware of a Skyward Sword Amiibo!? How did that slip past me?

  5. Great! Been trying to track down majoras mask link for quite some time now. Screw the smash link. I want a re-release of the hardest and most expensive one. OoT Link, i really really need that one to finish up my Zelda collection.

I wish you the best of luck in that endeavor. Since it’s being called an anniversary amiibo, I sadly don’t expect Nintendo to reprint that one for quite some time, if ever.

    1. The Best Buy near me for some reason doesn’t get any Nintendo fans visiting it. The employees tell me all the time how none of thier Nintendo stuff sells very well. So I go there and find all the hard to find Amiibo and SE games… They know me by name now, I’ve single handily kept thier Nintendo section alive

I wish I was so lucky. The nearest Best Buy to me is hours away.

    2. King Kalas X3 {I only buy exclusives that interest me on Switch. For everything else that interests me, there is PS4.}

Most likely, so I’m expecting it to sell out before I even get on the site to order my very own.

Totally forgot about the Wind Waker 2 pack of Toon Link with the Wind Waker & Toon Zelda.
