It’s a little later than usual but we finally have this week’s UK charts, thanks to the team at GFK Chart Track and UKIE. It’s been a fairly big week for Nintendo fans with the release of the long-awaited Metroid: Samus Returns and Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition. Metroid Samus Returns entered the charts at number eight while Rayman fared fairly well at number eleven on Nintendo Switch.

I think you may have to speak to Ambassador Nintenmau5, Your Grace. :p
I don#’t know what to think about this as on the one hand only 8th isn’t too impressive at all but then again the uk is HEAVILY sony dominated and the only games that sell are always cod, fifa and some other predictable titles. The fact that it still managed to break the top 10 should mean something and yet…will this truly be enough?
Fedshit Force didn’t even make the top 40 if I recall correctly.
And that’s a good thing. Wish it didn’t make it on a sales list at all, though, but it most likely sold at least a couple dozen copies. -.-
New releases on spot #1 usually have sold like 250k-300k, Metroid most likely sold something like 40-50k, which is kinda expected.
The real decider on 2D Metroid future will be NA, where the biggest fandom resides, the game needs 300k-500k in there, 800k-1mil sells should show Nintendo that there is demand for more Metroid games, I hope you guys pre-ordered, because it really will tell us if we have to wait another 13 years for more 2D Metroid games.. crossing my fingers, got two copies, one for my nephew and one for myself : (
I bought it day 1 with no preorder but I haven’t been able to play yet.
I also bought the day of its relase date. The world is beutiful and the game is challenging.
Already doing better than Fedshit Force, lol.
Hopefully it at least breaks a million copies sold…at the very least!
It definitely will. Metroid fans have been starved for far too long.
While I would have liked for Metroid to be higher, I can see why it’s not because that is some good competition there even if I’m not interested in the 6 out of the 7 that are above Metroid.
Still, it’s in the top 10 so I’m not gonna really complain.
It might not look good but remember that metroid is mainly a killer in the usa. I’m much more interested in the USA sales figures
