  1. King Kalas X3 {I only buy exclusives that interest me on Switch. For everything else that interests me, there is PS4.}

    My GOTY is a tie between Nier: Automata & Resident Evil 7: biohazard. If BotW had more enemy variety & better dungeons, it definitely would have been my GOTY, kicking NA & RE7 to second place, but it fell short in those areas.

  2. I’d say it really deserves it. It is probably the highest quality, most refined open world experience (except for maybe Horizon Zero Dawn, which I sadly haven’t gotten around to buying). The sheer amount of locations and landscapes I remember in BotW for such a huge game is honestly staggering (I almost feel as if I could visualize the majority of the map in my head, it’s that memorable!). I would definitely call it the best launch title for a system in the history of gaming.

    Mario Odyssey is shaping up to be a potential contender with BotW for sure. Not to mention, I haven’t even had the time to buy Metroid Samus Returns yet, which I hear is yet another incredible game. This has been an absolutely fantastic year for gaming.

    Now let’s just hope this year continues to stay just as great.
