It’s that time of the year again when the prestigious Golden Joystick Awards opens and the nominees are revealed for this year. While it may seem a little early for voting for your favourite game of the year the option is now there. So hey, go ahead and vote!

Botw will almost CERTAINLY be game of the year. In fact it’s game of the century. I think I’ve spent more time on this game than any other. Can’t wait for dlc 2

*Studio of the Year: Platinum (Nier Automata)
*Best VR Game: Resident Evil 7: biohazard; even though I didn’t play it in VR.
*Handheld/Mobile Game of the Year: Pokemon Sun & Moon; I really wish they wouldn’t put these into the same category.
*Nintendo Game of the Year: Metroid: Samus Returns; this was a tough one since it had to contend with LoZ: BotW.
*PlayStation Game of the Year: NieR: Automata
*Breakthrough Award: Ashly Burch; I wish she was voicing Chloe again for LiS’s prequel BtS but she was part of the 2016–17 video game voice actor strike, so she was replaced as Chloe. Least the new girl sounded very similar to her.
*Most Wanted Game: Death Stranding; This was a tough one. I had a choice between God of War 4, Metroid Prime 4, Spider-Man (2018), & Death Stranding.
*Ultimate Game of the Year: Resident Evil 7: biohazard; because NieR: Automata isn’t a damn choice. Fuckers…
