Nintendo Reveals Original Super Mario World Sprites Showing An Early Version Of Yoshi

Nintendo has showcased some early sprites from Super Mario World on their website. The designs show a Yoshi that looks slightly different to that which we are accustomed to as you can see from the image below, spotted by Reddit user TheCrystalCave.

  1. Don’t know what you guys are going on about. If you compare it to the baby yoshi sprites from the same game, it makes a lot more sense than the Yoshi they ended up with. Looks much more like an actual dinosaur.

    That’s not to say I dislike current Yoshi. I just don’t understand the other criticism here.

    1. It came to light that the reviewer involved was a freelancer who according to a writer at IGN had only reviewed one or two products. Was a messy post so I deleted it.
