Senran Kagura Producer Would Like To Make A Title For A Female Audience

Online gaming publication Dual Shockers recently had the chance to sit down and interview the Producer behind the Senran Kagura series, Kenichiro Takaki. The site asked him whether he would be interested in making a game for a female audience as he has lots of female fans who appreciate his work. He said it’s something he would like to explore but he says he still doesn’t completely understand what female fans want, so he wants to investigate. When he feels he has understood what they would like, then he would presumably venture out and create a project.

  1. Hey Takaki, you already have a male character to work with. Make him the main character and give him a chance to redeem himself.

Anyways, Takaki shouldn’t be surprised about the fact that (big shock) there ARE women that happen to enjoy his games and I’m among one of them. It shouldn’t be too hard to understand what appeals to a women. Watch media that appeals to them (Ouran Highschool Host Club, Free!, Saiyuki, etc) or even release a survey that your female fans can partake in. Hell, even ask your own wife. I would sell my soul for a female friendly spinoff to happen. We already know how a male character can work when stripped thanks to Murasame in Deep Crimson. Just do it!

  2. Girl here.
Personally I couldn’t get into the 3DS games, the fanservice was good but the gameplay was boring
Thought about trying Estival Versus because I like arena games, I also plan to buy Peach Beach Splash because it looks like a fun shooter

I love 3D adventure games and I tend to gravitate to wards anime with romantic elements, especially yuri

    1. Now that you mention it, an adventure game would be the next logical step for Senran Kagura. They would need a bigger team to make it possible, but I would be all for it.

And a yuri romance game wouldn’t be bad. In fact, I would have preferred that over Shibobi Refle’s option of having a male self insert. We all know that Asuka loves Homira more. :P

I think I count two prudes in here that can’t handle fanservice. (I could be wrong.) *shrug* Oh well. That’s their problem.

Anyway, glad he’s thinking about his female fanbase. Anyway, it’s not that hard. Just do something similar to what you do with the female characters of Senran Kagura. Only difference is you can actually fully expose a man’s chest without triggering the nudity tag. (Senran Kagura only has partial nudity, right?)

If you did, WordPress is holding it hostage as I don’t see it below my comments.

It’s possible it wasn’t you. This site has been pretty glitchy ever since the last update to the comment section.

    2. I’m far from a prude, I just know what I want and fanservice of little girls in games and the weird way that service is served ain’t my thing. There are sexier things out there that don’t shit on me from other women like me for me. I don’t need some dude’s creep service game for that. I don’t even want those elements in a game. I don’t play games for that kind of rush.

Little girls? They are 15 & up. From what I’ve read, only a very small group of the girls are 15. Their ages are probably changed outside of Japan, so they might not even be 15-17 where you live. Little girls would be more fitting if they were 12 & under. Anyway, it’s perfectly natural to be attracted to the age range of 15-17 thanks to our instinct to breed. (I did some research on pedophilia when I was watching an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit years ago out of curiosity & discovered pedophilia is wrongfully used as a catch-all for anyone attracted to people under the age of 18 where I discovered this information as there is a different word, completely separate from the term pedophilia, for the age range of 15-19. In short, pedophilia is the sexual attraction of pre-pubescent kids which is typically 10 & under.) Long story short… “Too late!” (Movie reference. Or is it a TV show reference? Damn. Now I’m gonna have to google it after I post this comment.) He isn’t a creep for making this game. Nor is anyone that might play this game since the girls are fictional, digital characters, anyway.

But I see prude might have been the wrong word to use in your case. (Not sure about the other person.)

        Ah-ha! I found the movie!

Damn it! That video didn’t have the line! I guess I’ll go with a shorter video that has the exact lines.

“People who judge others for their sexual values are doing something wrong”

Also people who are sensitive about criticizing sexual content

“You people are prudes with a bad set of sexual values.”

Sneaky wittle comment, aren’t you, for not posting as a reply to me like you were supposed to be. *flicks the comment’s nose* lol On a serious note, thanks for letting me know if I was right or not.

    1. Its just a beat-em up. The more they get their asskicked, the more reveling they become. Thats what made these games unique, your health bar, is your clothing. Aside from that, its just your normal, fanservice filled Japanese game with 15 year olds that have quadruple D breast.

Mechanically these games fall short of decent, theyre just ok games. Without the fanservice we would NEVER hear of this series.

There are some games that let you do that but this isn’t one of them.

  5. If they’re not changing the formula, just the sexes maybe, then I don’t mind, but if they change up the formula to suit what is commonly known as the “female crowd” in 2017, this could end messy. It may portray the girls in the game (if they still choose to center this version around the current female cast), in a light that is totally non-canon and is the polar opposite to how they actually are. if you do that, and get females get attached to these characters, when the time for a next game in series comes around, & the game reverts to its original smut, it may be blamed as warping, objectifying, and over sexualizing THEIR characters, or the characters they’ve come to love, and that may lead to future bands or the series tanking. It may be reaching here, but I’m just stating what I imagined, just thinking out loud. If you don’t want SJWs trying to change stuff, don’t make any versions that would appeal to them ever. I know it’s not necessarily correct to link “female version” with “SJW version”, but I think you know what I mean.
