The Hollywood Reporter is today reporting that the Sonic the Hedgehog movie will now be produced by Paramount Pictures rather than Sony Pictures. The movie, which is a blend of live action and CG animation, sees Neal M. Moritz, Tim Miller and Toby Ascher as executive producers. It’s not clear whether the Sonic the Hedgehog movie will still make its original 2019 release date.

Step 2 to this being a failure you switched studios. The fact that it is also Live Action and CGI means we could see some generic out of world movies like the Smurfs or Alvin. An old Sonic Fan-film has proven to us that Sonic looks freakish with human actors.

In spite of me actually being a fan of the Super Mario Bros movie (I know it’s a horrible movie but it’s an entertainingly horrible movie like “Troll 2”), Sonic 2019 would have to be extremely shitty to be worse than it.

I saw this movie in 2010 (for the first time. Yes for the first time. I never heard about this movie so I watched it and I really enjoy). I’ hoping to see an animated movie. That’s all.
I was so excited for the Power Rangers movie til I saw what they did to Goldar. I was even gonna buy it once it hit blu-ray. Now I’ll just wait for it to be on Netflix or television to see it so I don’t have to spend on a dime on it.

Godzilla 2014? That movie was awesome for me. I wanted to see Kong: Skull Island in theaters which is in the same universe as Godzilla 2014 but didn’t have the money. Hopefully I won’t have that issue with Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019 & Godzilla VS Kong in 2020. Everyone wants a piece of the cinematic universe pie. lol

Seriously, though, you are fine. I was slightly confused with the movie, too, at certain points. Was I seeing an American reboot of the Toho films or was I seeing an American sequel to the very first Toho Godzilla movie, titled Gojira in Japan, ignoring the events of every Godzilla movie after Gojira? lol

Huh? *looks it up* Ohhhhh! That movie was made by Sony Pictures. Yeah. I don’t blame them now. Sony has been releasing quite a number of trash movies. Starting with that abomination trying to call itself a Ghostbusters movie. Like Power Rangers, I was looking forward to a remake/new take on one of my childhood favorites but then I saw the first trailer with the overuse of slapstick humor. That… Is not fucking Ghostbusters! If I want to see a female Chris Farley movie, I’ll go watch one of Melissa McCarthy’s other movies that AREN’T shitting on one of my childhood memories that I will actually enjoy & appreciate the slapstick humor!
As for my issue with Power Rangers, it was that shitty recreation of Goldar! That is NOT Goldar! This was going to be THE summer movie purchase for me til that bullshit! I hope they don’t make a sequel because I don’t want to see what they do to Lord Zedd where Goldar was actually an important part of his reign. (Lord Zedd would be perfect if done in the same way Thanos is being done in the MCU but no. I don’t want to see it now.)
All in all, my biggest response to those movies is this simple video.
I never saw the Power Rangers movie, but my buddy would have dragged me to see it with him like he did The Shallows (okay, we dragged each other to that one). I still fully intend to see the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie- midnight premiere if possible; we planned to see that together.
I’m staying as far away from that new “Ghostbusters” they’re calling Ghostbusters as possible- Dr. Venkman may be a poor scientist, but not a poor icon to be tarnished by next gen wannabes.
