Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon File Size Revealed

We haven’t got too long to wait until we can get our hands on the upcoming Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. If you are looking to purchase the game digitally then you will need 3.6GB (or 29500 blocks) of space to download. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will be released worldwide on November 17th.

  1. I hope the 0.4 size difference means they fixed stuff taaking up space like the characters having a separate model for each island with no clear reason, otherwise this doesn’t make me optimistic with us getting very many changes outside of the story.

  2. That extra space goes into Mantine surfing, new locales related to Ultra Beasts, Rotomdex’s new functions…

  3. I was hoping that the file sizes would be smaller after they realised that they didn’t need to stuff the game with HD models. Would certainly improve the frame rate too. But it seems like they’re trying to get USUM out of the door as quick as possible. I have yet to see any changes from SM that I care about. SM should have had two years while GF made a Pokémon engine for Switch.
