STEEP Director Says Nintendo Switch Version Is Still Planned

Ubisoft has been extremely quiet regarding the Nintendo Switch version of STEEP. We’ve barely heard anything about it since it was unveiled. STEEP director Arnaud Ragot was interviewed by Nerd Report and said quite clearly that the Switch version of the extreme sports game is “Still planned, still something we have in our mind.” Hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer to hear about what they have planned.

  1. King Kalas X3 {I only buy exclusives that interest me on Switch. For everything else that interests me, there is PS4.}

    Are there anyone even wanting this game on Switch at this point? If it’s only a very small number of say a couple thousand people, they might as well just stop developing it for Switch & move on to something else. Worst case scenario, you just piss off a very small minority of rabid Nintendo fans thinking there is a conspiracy against Nintendo & that Sony is money hatting developers to screw the Switch over.

  2. If some developer can foster the Action Sports genre on Switch, I’d appreciate it a lot. The on-the-go nature of the platform makes it perfect for games about trick-based boarding/boating/etc.

    1. Before I’d said Nintendo should hold off on 1080, in order to create a more rounded representation of action sports. Now I say that releasing 1080 is exactly what they should do.

  3. It’s probably taking forever because it’s most likely being completely redone. Gotta remember the other versions have to be online all the time to function properly, and that’s not something that’ll translate well on the Switch.

  4. The longer it takes the less interested I’ll become. If it will release this year and won’t be more than €39 I will buy it though.

    By the way, please port ZombiU Ubisoft. It was may favourite Ubi game in ages.

  5. Honestly… I don’t care, Ubisoft. Just give the Switch BG&E2 and a Splinter Cell game please. And Assassin’s Creed while you’re at it
