The intriguing RiME will soon be heading to the Nintendo Switch and it sounds like it’s shaping up to be a good adventure. WCCFTech recently caught up with Remy Chinchilla from Tequila Works to talk about the game and what makes the Nintendo Switch version of the title different from the other versions currently available. Chinchilla mentioned that it will feature HD Rumble support and also touchscreen support.
“One of the features we put in was the HD Rumble. Yeah, it’s really cool. The designers put in a curve to how much they vibrate depending on what you’re doing in the world. The only thing really in there is in the menus – you can touch the screen. But that’s all, because we didn’t want to add any other gimmicks. RiME was never planned with any gimmicks in mind, and we thought if we add them now they might not fit with the game as we intended.”
So they used the HD Rumble… but only in he menu?
…WTF?
No. I think it’s just bad English.
Regarding HD Rumble, he stated “…they vibrate depending on what you’re doing in the world”. I think the confusing part is when he didn’t make it clear that the only OTHER thing “The only (insert other here) thing really…” was touch screen while in the menu.
IMO
I thought this game was already out on switch
Me too. I completely forgot about this game!
Titles are just being fired out on the console hard to keep up
It’s weird. Even with titles like Mario Odyssey I’m like “What? It’s already coming out?!”
How is this not out yet?
I wish this wasn’t releasing days before Skyrim on Switch. I’ve had it pre-ordered forever, but now it’ll have to take a back seat before I can dig into it.
