Nicalis has announced today that VVVVVV will be available for download from the Nintendo eShop on November 17th. To celebrate this fact they have put together a release date trailer which you can view below!

I wish they’d develop a sequel. Slightly improved graphical style to make it look a little prettier, while still keeping it similarly retro, with some new concepts, a new and bigger map, and more general content. That’d make me a happy camper.
This game is really good. I’m really one of the last to get into stuff that looks like put together by a 3yr old, but in this case, I just got to play it like 10yrs ago and while I thought ‘mmmh I’m bored, give that weird looking game a try’ it instantly hooked me. Something’s about its level-design, charming setting and pace really stood out to me and I remember the soundtrack being catchy as well. I probably wouldn’t pay more than 5 bucks for it, not because of how it looks but as I said, I played it 10 yrs ago so it’s not necessarily new.
But everyone should give it a chance. I don’t know how long it is though but I’ll keep an eye on the Switch release.
