Nintendo Co., Ltd have applied to have the wonderful Cappy from Super Mario Odyssey trademarked for merchandising purposes. Japanese Nintendo reports that the trademark is for the purpose of clothing, hats, toys, Christmas decorations and also lending of clothing.
I find Cappy to be rather ugly.
If he didn’t have that angry forehead and blue tuff of randomness, he’d look passing at best
in japan, ghosts (in folktales and media) are typically accompanied by blue fire, its meant to show that he is a ghost like entity.
He’s just a ghostly top hat with cutesy eyeballs on Mario’s cap. Plus, I like the bastard and his sister is cute. :)

Nintendo should create a cappy with 2 VR cams to record VR stuff for their upcoming VR platform. Which would just be a pair of sunglasses that’s coming out of that cap so you see what cappy sees. Which barely makes any sense but so does VR.
