Sonic Forces dashes its way onto the Nintendo Switch tomorrow and to celebrate the occasion Nintendo has uploaded a brand new launch trailer. While the game seems to have received mixed reviews, it’s the first game from the Sonic Team in a while. Have a watch below and see if the game is for you!
Join Sonic and friends as they mount a rebellion to take back their world against one of Sonic’s fiercest enemies, Dr. Eggman. There’s also a mysterious new villain with an equally confounding power – Infinite. The fate of Sonic the Hedgehog’s world is in your hands – Join the Uprising.
I still wonder why the fuck Chaos is even in here when you don’t fight him ONCE. Same for Shadow, no fight either.

My god, I hate when people don’t put a “Spoiler Warning” in their comment when spoilers are present. Especially, the day BEFORE the game releases, like seriously, why would you do that? At least thestrangablog didn’t spoil anything major like the ending to the game or anything.

While I like the “edgy” tone for the game, there’s still a lot to be desired overall, mainly because people just want a sequel to one of the older 3d sonic games, such as sonic adventure or sonic generations. While that’s not really force’s fault, it is what consumers actually want right now, a pretty-much 3D sonic game that doesn’t suck.
Forces still looks ok, but the sonic defense forces are getting annoying with all their defending of these terrible design choices.
Forces is basically a somewhat darker version of Generations with little character development fleshing out. For example, new comer Infinite is just there for the sake of having a powerful enemy and yet, after effortlessly taking Sonic out, he gets his ass kicked easily soon after by Sonic, then an OC, then Sonic again and just…disappears without explanation. This is why Sega sucks ass at storytelling and character development lately. They just throw shit in and expect their half-dim witted fans to eat it up, just like how DC is handling their DCCU movies.
I can’t wait to see how cringey the story is. The edgey tone has never worked for Sonic.
