Switch’s Architecture Is Similar To PS4 And Xbox One According To Square Enix

Although many developers have made it very clear that the process of getting their games over to the Switch platform is relatively easy (certainly easier than what was experienced with the Wii U), it’s no secret that Nintendo’s latest console seemingly doesn’t pack as much power as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, according to Square Enix, the Switch’s core architecture isn’t too dissimilar to that of the PS4 and Xbox One. This could mean that we can expect to see more and more ports from those platforms in the future if this is the case.

      1. I’m sure Switch will eventually get the entire remastered collection for them but that means it’ll surpass the cart’s memory threshold even if they have 64GB version by then. There’s too many games in one package to fit.

  1. And somehow these fuckers like EA wanna claim it’s too hard to make? I knew the Switch was rightfully similar to XB1/PS4 in multiple ways. Hopefully this means the Switch will get even more big games for it.
