Japan: Nintendo Switch Sells 79K And Nintendo 3DS Sells 19K

It’s Wednesday and that means it is time to see how the various software releases and hardware have performed this week in Japan. You will be pleased to know that the sublime Super Mario Odyssey is back on top after being dethroned last week by Call of Duty WWII. On the hardware side of things the Nintendo Switch is still top dog, easily outselling the other consoles such as the PlayStation 4. Here’s the best-sellers this week:

  1. The only bad news:
    Koei Tecmo launched a trio of Switch ports last week, including Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires, Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada, and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. Neither title charted in the top 20.

    1. Infinite Kalas X3, The Sonyendo King {Sony+Nintendo=Sonyendo!}

      Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires would have been a better choice since the game isn’t nearly as old as 7: Empires.

  2. Wow, what a failure is Sonic Forces! Even with the bought Famitsu review. o_o
    Strong perfomance by the Nintendo Switch, it will be soon the standard the facto. I’m sure that we will have plenty surprises in 2018.
    I still desperately need Netflix on it.
