It’s Wednesday which means it is time to find out how the various software and hardware performed this week in Japan, thanks to the team at Media Create. As expected, it’s the recently released Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon which have topped the software charts and have given the Nintendo 3DS a nice boost too. With regards to hardware it is still the Nintendo Switch sitting pretty at the top spot. Here’s the best-sellers this week:

No matter how bad, you cant just hand the win over to the competition. PLUS, if every one of those 300 playes signs up for live, then then thats 18k in revenue a year for that month. Even if its 300 a months for a year, that would be 216k a every year adding to however many theyve already had in the live ecosystem.
It adds up man.
As of right now, there are about 80k xbox ones in Japan. Now lets say that about half of them have live, that alone is 4.5 million dollars in revenue in just live. Why would a company give up over 4 million a year? It doesnt make sense.

Im not sure, i mean 4 million is a good haul, but we aren’t taking into consideration the overhead in japan, so even that might be split in half. Still, with a profit, even a small one, you cant give up footing.

Anyway I know microsofts has money to burn as they are selling the Xbox box one X at a loss and (Xb1 as well I thought) but I’m wondering at what point it’s successful enough considering they only account for 1-2% of total console sales there.

The 360 did 77million in 8 years. 2005-2013. XBO is extimated to be at 31million with half of the 360’s time span. Itll be just fine, but apparently to you, thats a bad number.
The reason it looks this bleak is because the ps4 is at 60 million in with only 4 years, when for the PS3 it took over 8 years to reach 77 million. The XBO isnt doing bad, the PS4 is just selling phenomenally.

Heres an example, Call of Duty Black ops 3 sold 14 million on PS4, and it sold 7 million on XBO.
How many copies did it sell on PC? It obviosuly sold more than the 7 million right? Or ar least half or a quarter right? I mean, the XBO is pointless so more people would buy it on PC, right?
