Whether you or someone on your holiday shopping list is a fan of action games, RPGs, platformers, puzzle games or party favorites, the Nintendo eShop Cyber Deals sale has something for every type of player. With discounts up to 75 percent off on select digital games for the Nintendo Switch system, the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and the Wii U system, the Nintendo eShop sale, which runs now through Dec. 11 at 8:59 a.m. PT, offers a huge selection of games for fans of all ages.
“The Nintendo eShop is a great place to browse and purchase digital versions of first- and third-party games,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The easy-to-use and intuitive service lets shoppers enjoy holiday discounts from the comfort of their own home, so they can avoid the holiday rush and jump right into the games.”
The sale starts right before Thanksgiving and ends a few days after The Game Awards. Some of the games nominated for awards this year are from franchises featured in this sale. The discounted games that are part of the Nintendo eShop sale include the following:

Sony is able to give deeper discounts for people who habe plus. I guess that’s what op mean. He should also acknowledge that PSplus and Love subscribers are also being charged $60 a month, not a third.

How is Nintendo being cheap for 3rd party publishers not putting their games on sale? You say this like Nintendo’s forcing them to charge full price. The Switch at the moment has a *dramatically* smaller install base than the PS4. A game like AC Origins can make up a sale price in volume. Sell the game to twice as many PS4 owners at $40, and you make more money than to sell to half that many at $60. The Switch has nowhere near the customer base for those market tactics yet, so those prices stay the same, just as they did for the PS4 in its first year on the market.
It’s really hard to find people who so desperately have this little an idea what they’re talking about.
I admit I was being unfair in calling Nintendo cheap. At least in this instance, anyway.

Best Buy cares about recouping losses on dead stock. Nintendo has no losses. They don’t care if it ever sells another copy. It’s not like it’s ever going to be a big earner. They just don’t want it to look like they released a <$20 quality game.
