Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for Nintendo Switch has done, and is still doing, remarkably well with the combined efforts from Ubisoft Milan and Ubisoft Paris not going unnoticed by critics and fans. The title is sitting at a comfortable 85 on Metacritic and has recently enjoyed an extra marketing push from Nintendo with UK tv ads for the game cropping up once again. Davide Soliani, director for the game, recently sat down with Gameindustry.biz in an in-depth interview and explained that he and the team got on very well with Nintendo and touched on how much input Nintendo had with making the game.
“We established a very good relationship to the point where when we went to Japan for several days on a holiday, we would meet with the guys we work with from Nintendo, because we had become friends. But when it was about work, Nintendo were super picky. They wanted to know everything, and play everything. This was good, because it gives you a feeling that you are safe. They have over 125 years of lifetime, and they’re giving you feedback with the expectation of a certain level of quality. So for me, Nintendo is a shield. It means we know we’ll hit a certain level.”

I think it’s great that Nintendo’s being picky. It means they expect nothing less than the best from their games. I just hope the maker isn’t a complete yesman. Just because Nintendo has years of experience doesn’t mean they’re always right, if you don’t mind me saying.
You’re right. But I wouldn’t pass Ubisoft as one of the best anyway since they’re entering EA territory with a hint of Capcom stupidity and Activision repetitive releases.
I don’t really hate entire companies, since everyone makes hits and misses. Except for Happy Madison, but that’s another thing entirely.

Wow. I just went and looked at Happy Madison’s full list of movies. That’s bad.
I see plenty of good movies in their list on Wikipedia so it’s not all bad.
Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, Little Nicky, Joe Dirt, The Animal, Mr. Deeds, The Master of Disguise, Eight Crazy Nights, The Hot Chick, Anger Management, 50 First Dates, The Longest Yard, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo, Grandma’s Boy, The Benchwarmers, Click, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, & Grown Ups were pretty good movies. I intend to watch Grown Ups 2 & The Ridiculous 6 at some point. The rest I haven’t seen nor do I intend to see so I can’t comment on those. But if I go by public opinion, it seems their good movies have pretty much become few & far between after 2006.
Matter of opinion I guess, but I tend to side with critics on this one. I find the humor in those movies to be crude and unwitty. IMO, Adam Sandler hasn’t been in a good movie since BIg Daddy.
