Mother Orders Nintendo Switch From Amazon, Receives Box Of Washing Powder Instead

With Christmas just around the corner, many of us will no doubt be shopping for gifts online trying to get organised instead of enduring the annual last-minute dash. A mother from the UK, Charlotte Moore, 30, did just that and decided to buy a Nintendo Switch for her children in time for Christmas Day. As the parcel was delivered, Moore felt the urge to check the unusually heavy package. Upon opening the box, she wasn’t greeted with the sight of a Nintendo Switch but to a box of Daz washing powder instead.

Charlotte said: “It’s really put a dampener on our Christmas and it’s the one thing my son really wanted – he didn’t ask for anything else and really has his heart set on it.”

The unfortunate set of events prompted Moore to get on to Amazon to try and rectify the problem by bringing it straight to their attention that evening. It turned out that the console was stolen and was replaced by washing powder.

“They also asked me if the packaging had been tampered with and initially I said no, but after I had another look and turned the box upside down I could see that the black amazon tape had been sliced open and resealed with clear sellotape.

“Amazon said they were going to investigate, but have been in contact with me to say the items are now out of stock so we can’t get a replacement.”

An Amazon spokesman said: “We have replaced the Switch and apologised.”

I’m guessing these were said on different days???

  2. Makes me wonder if people actually steal these or if people order crap and report this stuff and end up with 2, which they then either sell or use.

Target located… Deploying unmanned nintendrones to eliminate filthy “Xbots”…. Target eliminated… Glory to the Order!!!!

    1. Reminds me that I bought a New 3DS for my sister along with four of my old games since shes been wanting one for a few years now… I should probably check the contents of it.

Honestly If that happens when I get one for my brother, he will think I did it on purpose… 😂

          1. I still have mine too.. (starts plotting an evil prank….😏)

Now that I think about it, I should do that to an Xbot. They talk all this trash but if they got a Switch they’d be all happy only to open the Switch box and pull out a box of soap 😂

The best part is to see there face after unwrapping 4 or 5 boxes to get to it (if your feeling especially evil, wrap one box with duct tape)

    1. I don’t think you can but it would be up to the distributor to compensate accordingly, based on the legitimacy of the cause.
