Here’s The Top YouTube Video Game Trailers Of 2017

Google has revealed the top YouTube video game trailers during 2017. It’s an odd list as a number of high-profile Nintendo Switch trailers aren’t listed such as Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda which gathered huge hits, if you remember. Anyway, here’s the top video game trailers of 2017 according to YouTube.

  1. Clash of Clans: Hog Rider 360°, 58.0 million views
  2. Official Call of Duty: WWII Reveal Trailer, 21.8 million views
  3. Despicable Me: Minion Rush – Google Play Trailer, 18.4 million views
  4. Star Wars Battlefront 2: Official Gameplay Trailer, 14.2 million views
  5. Destiny 2 – “Rally the Troops” Worldwide Reveal Trailer, 12.9 million views
  6. Minecraft: Better Together Update is now live! Togetherness ACTIVATED!, 11.8 million views
  7. Halo Wars 2 War of Wits: The Sale, 11.3 million views
  8. GTA Online: Smuggler’s Run Trailer, 10.8 million views
  9. The Avengers Project Announcement Trailer, 8.7 million views
  10. PES 2017 Mobile Launch Trailer, 8.6 million views

Update: “Before I get to the list, it’s worth pointing out that Google did not consider something like Super Mario Odyssey for this list. I’ve reached out to YouTube for the exact criteria, but this is apparently its top 10 most-viewed game trailers that are also YouTube ads. If you included Mario and its 23 million views, it would have finished higher than the majority of Google’s list (thanks to Twitter user Pacotromas for the heads up). The below top 10, however, is a combination of organic and paid views on YouTube. I’ll update this if Google provides any more details on what it considered for this list.”

    1. It’s almost like youtube lies and censors to control the perception of what content is popular on its site. Youtube would never do that though, right?

      Right?

  1. Clash of clans is THE worst “game” ever made! Anyone who plays that pay to win garbage is a traitor to quality video games and is supporting one of the worst companies imaginable in the video games industry!

      1. Most likely just the sheer amount of advertisement for garbage mobile games is the reason why it’s so popular. If McDonalds released a turd pie and advertised it a lot, I bet people would still buy and eat it.

    1. Your scare quotes illustrate the problem with your thesis. I don’t think it qualifies as a game, so it certainly can’t be the worst game anymore than I as a human male can be the worst short story ever written.

  2. From the source article:

MNN should’ve included this info in their article. Fake news!
