It’s been yet another great week for Nintendo leading up to the Christmas period as the Kyoto-based company has the two best-selling hardware this week – the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS. Black friday shouldve gave it a big bump.
I know. It’s probably way past 10/12 million at this point and after the holidays, it’ll beyond surpass Pii U’s pathetic -14 million in 4 1/2 years.
Im hoping it can surpass it within its first year, that way Nintendo can get it through its head yo NEVER chose the casual over its loyal fanbase. That gen was brutal!

Oh yeah, that gen absolutely pissed me the fuck off especially 2015 E3 which was the final straw for me. For almost 2 years, I quit Nintendo because of that disturbing image of casual shit and reek of ignorance all over plus…look at WTF they did to Metroid which is what drew the line for me back then. I love Metroid but after seeing THAT plus some dumb motherfuckers DESPERATELY defending that chibi garbage since minute one, made me feel sick that I just sold ALL of my Nintendo shit within the same WEEK.
Good estimation. As of now, I’m expecting total Switch sales to surpass lifetime Wii U sales by Dec 31.

Many are seeing the console in stores for the first time. 8 months of waiting finally over with an already impressive library.
Plus Xmas is close, see the chance, you take it. Same for people that were waiting for a price drop or games like Pokémon and Animal Crossing (welcome amiibo is still in the top 20 chart). Afraid of having again stock issues, they see the console and they buy it.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 release
Still has MHXX, games like Mana Collection, Dragon Quest, Plenty of Musou/Warrios games (big in japaaan, alright!) announced
Splatoon is still huge, Mario and Zelda keep selling well
Portable. The only country where I’ve witnessed 20 kids playing a 3ds in a park.
Or maybe they were waiting the confirmation of SuperMetal Dave 64’s rumor about a new PS vita…
Not really a good debut for Xenoblade. Apparently japanese don’t like the serie that much. They could have avoided that character design for the rest of us eventually.

Plenty of people outside of Japan like anime art designs. You really think they are gonna stop using such a design for video games even if Japan lost interest?
If it’s actually a good design it should be good, but since it’s very generic it looks like a bland generic anime design, and this does not help. Some people are underwhelmed for that design.

I can’t help but notice the cliff edge deep off of star wars battle front. Wow EA fumbled this one badly. Let’s hope all greedy publishers wanting to rip off gamers rather than provide great games are watching and seeing that gamers aren’t fools even a star wars franchise isn’t enough to drag is into this steaming pile of dung!
Literally didn’t buy XB2 cuz of some of the female character designs. I play games in front of/with my wife and I know she wouldn’t appreciate it. I don’t appreciate either! I love the graphical style though. Bummer.
Are you sure you’re willing to miss out on a fun experience you know you want to try because of the character designs? Keep in mind the culture of where these games are made are totally different from what people “accept” here (assuming you’re in the US).

Pyra is pretty tame compared to plenty of other female characters from plenty of other games. I mean, have you SEEN Ivy from the Soul Calibur series, for instance!? lol
