We have been seeing announcements of various actors joining the Detective Pikachu cast on a weekly basis, but we now know who will play the movie’s title character. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Reynolds will be playing Pikachu in the movie. Reynolds is most known for playing Deadpool in the 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the 2016 film Deadpool. Detective Pikachu is planned to begin filming in London sometime in mid-January.

i feel like their will be good one if deadpool gets a third movie. but fox looks to be selling its movie studios to Disney, and i dont see them doing an R rated super hero movie….so everything might get ruined.
Disney would ruin Deadpool? Doubt it and shouldn’t for it’s solo outing. It’s fucking Deadpool. Also, I’m glad Marvel is now getting back their stuff. I’m still hoping Sony fully gives up Spidey AND VENOM especially.
Oh, dude, now I actually have to see this movie. I’ve had such a man crush on Ry-Ry since I was in my mid teens. I’m surprised this movie got such a huge star to play the lead role.

If this movie is getting an overseas release now, does that mean we could get a western release of the Japanese video game? If the video game ever gets localized, I’d be interested to try it out.

I just hope Reynolds can do a damn good DeVito impression, or at least has been following social media to know what we’ve been talking about.
