    1. while i enjoy the art direction there is nothing original or unique about it (betty boop, felix the cat etc. etc.) and for that i think Zelda should have won this category also.

  1. Directly from the abyss, Nintendo threw 2 of the most critical acclaimed titles in the year, one of which was selected game of the Year, launched a successful hybrid machine and showed just a taste of the others games they are working on. Good year for them, but more importantly, good year for us. Great experiences for the Switch Users. GO NINTY.

  2. This is probably the best year in gaming that I can remember. So many great games across all the systems and next year looks to be promising too.

    1. It’s funny because really when looking at many of the AAA third party publishers it’s been a garbage year, with failure after failure, loot box infested game after loot box infested game. But does it really matter? When Nintendo are *so* on form, when indies step in to fill the genre gaps, when some of the second-tier (in terms of budget) developers such as Platinum are also making fantastic games, what does it matter if EA and Activision are garbage? They may be the face of gaming to many of the general public, but there’s so much choice without them, their patheticness is totally irrelevant to me.

    1. I didn’t make the list, hence the source at the bottom.

Coincidentally, I had already fixed the error moments before you commented anyway. lol

  3. Aonuma’s interpreter say something about more surprises in the future. Maybe we will have an announcement of a new Zelda game soon ❓

  4. Nintendo had a really great year this year and the game awards show that. Think about it…Mario, Zelda, and Metroid all won awards. Not too mention, Zelda took home the game of the year award which is huge. That is awesome!

  5. Infinite Kalas X3, The Sonyendo King

Damn. NieR: Automata only won 1 of the 3 awards it was a nominee for. But I am glad that that one was the music score, though, as that’s the award it deserved the most as the music in the game is fucking fantastic.

      1. Nintendo First Order Commander Quadraxis

        ||Too bad you missed the unveiling of the Switch and the inauguration of The First Order of Nintendo…||

        1. Actually, I didn’t. I was watching the Switch carefully and after the unveiling won me over, I cautiously took a dive.

Also, “The First Order of Nintendo”? Someone has been watching The Force Awakens. XD

  6. I really wanted Persona 5 to win game of the year but I also really want Nintendo to win, so I’m really happy with the results :>
