A one hit kill weapon? Really?
Trade off is you die in one hit
Really?
You’re worried about a one hit kill weapon and not the FUCKING MOTORCYCLE in Legend of Zelda??? lol
I can finally kill a lynel.
Lol
That too and I hate those bastards more than Ganon.
It’s not permanent as far as I can tell. You have to use it as part of a challenge. I’m working on the part after it and man is it making me use my brain parts.
Boo.
Yes really.
The Master Sword on steroids?
I was always a bit sad when playing this game, just knowing that the warriors were all dead. And that it was only their spirits talking to Link. I was hoping that they would somehow come back to life.
The motorcycle is cool and all, but totally out of place in the world of Zelda. Not to mention, it defeats the purpose of having a horse. It’s like Nintendo did this just so it would make more sense for Link to have a motorcycle in Mario Kart 8.
They can just explain the bike like its some kind of the old civilization discovery just like them beasts.
Pretty sure Aounuma said after seeing Link on a bike in MK8 he really wanted to find a way to do that in a Zelda game. 🤷🏾♂️
He should do a modern spin of Zelda like Steampunk era with ancient technology and transport. Think of it as a follow up from Spirit Tracks in S.T.E.A.M world.
I think Nintendo did it just because it’s something they wanted to do. Aonuma did say a while back that one of the original designs for BotW had Link riding a motorcycle. It may have been just a sort of joke when they came up with it, but I think the designers really wanted to see it happen.

It looks like a design from Hyrule warriors.
I kinda like the motorcycle, really gives off the old apocalyptic feeling with very few modern/future technology left over, scarce enough for people to still be relying on horses. BoTW is set 10,000 years into the future after all.
I’ve still got tons to do in Zelda and now this.
I just havnt got the time.
And now a motorbike?
I wonder if we’ll get a dlc track somewhere in hyrule in the near future, excite bike type with jumps and all.
Not sure how I feel about the motorcycle right now…
||There are giant machines with advanced target systemds and lasers and you are worried about a motorcycle based on that same technology…||
||Your logic is deniable…||
I think it was just invented by the old ones.
And they forgot Link is on a motorcycle in MK8 DLC and no one was complaining. XD Hell, I didn’t complain.
I was referring to the mechanics. Is it gonna overshadow the horses by being able to be summoned no matter where on the map I am? And if I do want to use it instead of the horses, is there gonna be enough story for me to take advantage of such an item or is it an end game item with only 3% of story to use it in, making it pretty irrelevant at that point in the game? Since I got the answer to the most important question of whether it will be relevant or not to the story, it’s a pretty crappy end game reward. (Much like the Tunic of the Wild set which you also can’t get til you’ve completed nearly 95% of the game already.) Pretty underwhelming rewards since there is no New Game+ mode that lets you carry these items over to a brand new game & be able to use them from the very beginning of the game so you can enjoy these items for more of the story instead of a couple of minutes of story. (And that’s just the start of my issues with BotW but that’s for another time & article.)
I got no issue with the motorcycle being in the game for story reasons or even for time period/fantasy genre reasons. Hell! I was one of the people that defended the robots in Skyward Sword with the idea that they were powered by magic, so they didn’t technically break the “no modern/future technology” rule many of us have in place for the Legend of Zelda franchise.
So we got the bike which pretty much replaces the horse.
How about a rocket pack to replace the paraglider and a machine gun to replace the master sword ?
Makes me wonder what dlc we’ll get with MP4 when it’s realeased.
( maybe a horse )?
Pfft. Obviously they wouldn’t replace the Master Sword with a machine gun. They’d use a lightsaber. 😂
Ew. Neither should ever happen. Powered by magic or not, some things are going too far. A light saber being one of them. (Of course, I’d have no issue if the Master Sword one day got an upgrade where the light of the blade gives the Master Sword light saber like qualities.)
Oh I agree. I was just kidding. If they actually did that I would just shake my head. This motorcycle makes me shake my head already.
Yeah. The cycle is a bit over the line already but meh. As long as it doesn’t become the norm, I’m cool with this one instance. (If this is just the start of more modern tech crap, though, I guess we’ll be playing the Legend of Zelda Final Fantasy from that point forward. Much rather be playing Legend of Witcher Zelda, though. lol)
The times, they are a changing my friend haha.
You wish
As I said above, I got no issue with the motorcycle in the game for story reasons or even for time period/fantasy genre reasons since it’s obviously powered by the same magic used to power the Divine Beasts, Sheikah Shrines, & the Sheikah Slates abilities. (Magical blue fire for the win! lol) So I’d actually be cool with a rocket pack as long as it takes place after the events of Breath of the Wild & uses the same magic as the Divine Beasts. (A machine gun replacing the Master Sword won’t ever happen, though. That would definitely be crossing a line. Besides, the Master Sword is too iconic to be replaced. That’s like getting rid of Mario’s hat or Samus Aran’s arm canon.)
I actually get it now.
There’s nothing like blasting through the countryside on a Sunday morning on your cross country motor bike taking in all the beautiful scenery and stunning nature. A true BOTW !
Why?

Cool. I’m planning on downloading it because of that motorbike and Zelda.
The moment you realize people didn’t complain about Link riding a motorcycle in MK8 but in Breath of the Wild using the same aesthetics as the Ancient Guardians, it’s suddenly a problem. XD
Ok it’s time for me to open that sealed copy.
